I figured most of them were spelling Ottawa, "Ottowa" on purpose to combat the word Rags.

Carkner was the effing man tonight, that might draw ire from people, but I don't really care.

Yeah, the top seed got completely destroyed by the bottom seed.

They're gonna need new rags

Carkner = Bertuzzi, apparently. I'll take it. Dude stood up for his teammate and won. I don't care if we're a dirty team, the Rags were intimidated tonight after the first 5 minutes.

I can't believe all the soft posts in this thread. Sheesh. Maybe I should start a "Jacques Martin Appreciation" thread so I know who to ignore around here. Apparently there are a lots of Sens fans who enjoyed getting their lunch money stolen every spring by the Leafs and Devils and Sabres and Ducks and...

I don't miss those days AT ALL.

Praise Carkner

Good game by Neil tonight. It looks like he is really playing through a problem. Is it just me, or does he seem to be missing his top end speed and acceleration? There were a couple of times that he passed up hit chances that he would normally do, because he couldn`t accelerate into position.

carkner could've been much worse if he wanted too.

i'd like to see these rangers fans get on the ice and put themselves in the position boyle was. If carkner did to them as he did to boyle, these newly baptized hockey fans would thank him for sparing their lives.

what carkner did was right. Boyle suckered karlsson. Carkner challenged boyle, boyle refused, so carkner suckered boyle.

That is how hockey works. Somewhere along the way rangers fans forgot.

We won the game and beat their *****, getting retribution. This may be the most proud moment ever. Where have we ever done that? Ever? This is Bruins hockey. I like Bruins hockey. We stick up for each other even if it means getting a huge penalty. The players saved Carkner's ass. The Rangers learned that we will protect our own. This is what Senators fan has always wanted from their hockey team.

Neil and speed? He has enough speed to get to where he needs to go and not much more. He also probably wore himself out a bit through the game. He plays hard shifts, so it would wear on him a bit more too.

Saw a clip and he was being calm, and lobbying that if Haglein get a suspension, Phillips should to.

That was one thing I noticed that was amusing. Rangers fans seem to think that Phillips' hit was comparable to the Hagelin one. Phillips shouldn't have even got a minor on the play. Hagelin will be a suspended. Subtle difference.

These Rangers were supposed to be tough. Maclean punked them well tonight. It'll be interesting to see if they can recover.

LOL Wut? Sens used to be written on our jerseys

Great game. I missed the first few minutes of the game but watching Dubinsky go ape was great.

It seems to me that those refs have no idea what is going on, such as the 2 pucks incident, since they blew so many calls and both sides. So to get even they missed called/ or non called 10 different things.

Rangers fan here.

Before this series Rangers and Sens fans were very chummy. We didn't expect it to erupt into this, even considering it's the playoffs. With that said, this loss hurt and a seed of hatred has been planted in what was once a void of emotion, which means the Sens are doing their jobs. I'm sticking with my initial prediction of Rangers in 6 however.

You guys can expect newly signed Chris Kreider to replace Hagelin while he is suspended, and Mitchell to be scratched in favor of John Scott for what will be needed protection of star Rangers players.

What happened to Alfie is unfortunate. The Rangers are not a dirty team, that elbow just ran away from Hagelin. It was not intentional and Hagelin is not that kind of player.

Have fun watching game 3.

you had to include that bs? You wanna offer some unbiased informed hockey fan words? Go ahead, but you just lost all credibility there. Nothing against the rest of your team, but that little punk may have ended the career of our best player of all time. Prepare to pay and lose. He deserves everything he is about to get and more. Don't fool yourself.

he's doing a good job with the media so far.

They lost home ice.
The defensive stalwart New York Rangers allowed 32 shots on lundqvist.
Lundqvist had a sparkling .906 SV%

and all anyone will be talking about is the two elbowing incidents and the carkner/boyle thing.

He goes crazy, writers start talking about the rangers imploding and bring up everything that is wrong in additional to torts.

Hoping Alfie can come back next game. Best of luck to your team, and here's to another exciting, hate-filled game.
