I love that analogy!

Maybe we should keep Gustavsson then.

He was way better playing his own way.

over/under on how long it takes till everyone around here locks in on one single person they heard McKenzie/Dreger mention and then act like they've followed their whole career?

I'm going to continue to blame RW. First off would Allaire really ruin
people by changing styles. I think a goalie coach, would enhance
strengths and address weaknesses. Not revamp what a G came with to him.

Give whoever we have a chance under Carlyle's system: They don't
have to be world beaters, just give the team a chance to win.

Otherwise, does Red Deer's coach want to move east and up?
Or be mean and hire Patty Roy

Yes, give the new system a chance. It may not be them at all.

All of our goalies are that way, they play their own individual style unique to themselves and Allaire didn't seem to think that was the best thing.

Retirement is a pleasant way to say "fired" in his case, im betting. Might be similar to the way Sutter left Calgary.

I'd hire him just for the pleasure of firing him.

That'd be great but it would lose a good reason for goalie prospects to sign with us, I mean a lot of goalies signed with us because of Allaire.

I'm neutral to it. I think he was a good match for reimer. Seemed pretty detrimental for gustavsson though.

Francois Allaire got tired of working with ****** goalies, I guess he's decided to hang them up rather than stress over another Toronto goalie.

Leafs fan are just looking for the next scapegoat. Blame him all you want but how can management justify depending on non-established goalies with glaring weaknesses/injury problems.

Also, its tough for goalies to make saves when we give up like ten 2 on 1's a game and regularly give up breakaways. Honestly I don't know how this team is being coached but I have never seen a team give up this many odd man rushes and have this many defensive zone lapses
