I'm glad that Chicago won tonight. It really bugs me to see a team that is owned by the NHL succeed. Especially when the Coyotes have benefited from officiating throughout the first two games. It's just not right.
The poser fans that only show up in the playoffs also annoy me.
Is it possible that a guy can score 2 goals in a playoff game and still be the goat?
Vermette? WTF. Absolutely abysmal own zone play in last minute in 3rd and gives the puck away 2 or 3 times on weak clears and incomprensible play almost willing Hawks to tie it.
Then of course Vermette on the OT goal. Vermette has solid possession of puck, Hawks have just had relentless pressure for a minute. Vermette has all day to skate the puck out and clear and allow his D thats trapped and been out forever to change. Instead, inexplicably, Vermette passes the puck back to the dog tired lone D back, Chicago is on hot forecheck, pressures, gets turnover, and scores.
The Jobing.com ice surface opens up and swallows Vermette whole.
This is the single stupidest play I've seen in hockey since Patrik Stefan.
Way to kill your team Vermette. 30 yrs old and still a stupid ****.
Hawks tie the series 1-1. Wow there have been some amazing games in the playoffs so far.
So much OT, I love it!
I was worried about the breaks in between games today (Caps-BB to Ott-NYR to Hawks-Yotes), but anytime I thought there wouldn't have been hockey on was mercifully filled up with overtime. Literally 11 straight hours of hockey. Time well spent
Thrilling game from the Hawks. Just 5.4 seconds til 2-0 hole in the series, so clutch.
Smith just pumped Aucion full of lazers from his eyes after the GWG.
A terrible clearing play by a veteran who should know better.
When the line change is on...the puck has to come out on the opposite side of the benches.
How is that not Vermettes fault? He was the guy with the puck that had all day to clear. What the hell was he doing not getting that puck out of the zone?
These early playoff games have been extremely entertaining, hopefully it stays at this pace.
Yeah aboslutely. The hockey has been amazing. I especially am enjoying the Chicago-Phoenix (surprisingly) and Philly-Pittsburgh series. The Rangers and Blues series have been wars, those guys are looking to kill each other physically, old school stuff.
It'll probably calm down a bit as the playoffs continue on but it has been great so far.

If LA gets through Vancouver it wouldn't be a stretch to say that of the West teams left they will have the most in the tank. All of these other teams are taking a hell of a lot out of each other in these games.

A sweep by LA would be perfect.
Might reduce the amount of "criticism" that is pointed our way from west of here.
Looking forward to the Kings post game tweet if they win tonight.
Missed the evening's games, but just finally saw all the highlights. What an acting job from Mike Smith. Roberto Luongo would applaud that. Thank godness the Hawks ended up pulling it out.
PS, trade 1st overall for Matt Carkner. Awesome that his coach was willing to send a goon out with the sole purpose of destroying Brian Boyle. That's exactly the coach the Oilers need.
