I'm embarrassed as a hockey fan the same way I'm embarrassed as a soccer fan watching this flop. The flailing arms with the glove throw. The head jerk all the way back. This is disgusting.
You know it is possible that Smith injured himself with the flop. Just to animated. He needs to slow down next time.
Shaw had a problem when he did not make the decision to bale out of the play very early. When he arrived at Smith going that fast, his options were gone, tried to squeeze by along the boards but Smith's big body, bent over like he was, occupied a lot of space.
I know Milbury can come across as a jerk, but it got it right again, when he said there was no intent by Shaw, should have been a minor penalty and there should have been no game misconduct attached. Surprisingly he didn't mention Smith's lovely pirouette, with everything flailing. And his amazing recovery after Shaw was given the major and booted.
Loving the play of Seabrook so far. I have always said that when he puts it all together he is one of the best dmen in the league, he is certainly showing it thus far in the playoffs.

Kinda wish we'd split keith/seabrook up. Keith, for whatever reason, seems to play better with other guys this season.
I was wondering if we would hear something on this today. If he isn't out of gas, then I'm all for this.
nothing definitive yet, but it sounded as if it was done and he has the chance to make it for game #3.... it would be cool for him to jump in on home ice, but it might be likely for him to be suited up by game #4...
If Saad plays in playoffs that burns of a year of his ELC (If I am reading that correct) ,, That isn't Q's call (That would be up to Bowman)
I think Saad would need to play 10 NHL games before it burns a year off of his ELC. He's already played 2, so he can play 7 more games without it burning a year off of his contract (assuming we advance).
I do think it's Q's call though, if Bowman calls him up as a black ace. If he's on our active roster, then the rest is on Q on deciding who plays and who's scratched.
IMO, I think we should just give him the experience of being a black ace. Kid has a promising future and just got done with his CHL playoffs... no sense in throwing him into an intense NHL playoff battle and expect him to contribute. Hayes, Beach or Morin (in that order) would be my choice if there were injuries or a player is badly underperforming.
Edit: However, the CBA is really hard to read and I'm not exactly sure if what I said is accurate. Maybe we can Beetlejuice KDP into coming into this thread and setting things straight.
KDP...KDP.............KDP!

True, but let's get past Phoenix before starting to worry about that. It's possible that we don't even get to the point where we can burn a year off of his contract.

It's not unusual to bring up highly regarded rookies from junior just to be around the team during playoffs and get a feel for what it's going to be like for them.
