this, they have the stats of an AHL team playing in the NHL right now. I would have to think it's not sustainable.

Besides the obvious unpleasantness of pre-game nerves there was another main issue that really made me feel nauseous before game 2. We went into that game having practiced the... power play!? Our defense is leaking like a ****ing pot without a bottom and you focus practicing on our ****ing POWER PLAY!? Bylsma what in Gods name are you doing!?!?
The Pens reasonable regular season defense stats are based on only two factors. One is the fact that we are in the offensive zone so much and have a good forecheck going. Two is the fact we have one of the better rosters (on paper) back there of all the eastern conference teams, if not the entire league.
BUT, as is obvious in the playoffs; our defensive system and play is nothing but a sad joke. The cryers swarm around our net like sharks and our boys manage to lose cohesion and focus for every second they don't reclaim the puck. Or the typical "omg let's just scramble in front of fleury and screen him in chaos". Especially the desperate chaos scramble in front of net has been haunting us for several seasons now.
As if that isn't bad enough you all have to admit our neutral zone play has been utter **** towards the end of the season: both offensively and defensively. But of course it's the defensive aspect of our ****** neutral zone play that is costing us this series.
Wake up DAN, our defense is in shambles and you're focusing on correcting all the wrong things!
I am so sad and choking up at the thought of game 3 tonight. Let's go Pens! T__T
