I'll be in very good position to win my playoff pool if the Coyotes can close out tonight. I'm the only person 4/4 thus far and only a couple others picked PHX.

Chicago is in utter meltdown mode.

We're officially going to see a team without a Cup in the SCF.

What the heck has gotten into Smith......amazing how that system has made him look like a brick wall or at least given him confidence to actually realize his full potential. I hope Bryz gets back into March Bryz form because seeing some of these goalies in the playoffs is giving me a complex especially Mike Effin Smith....

This year is a both-and, I believe, for Smith and the Coyotes. He alone made some incredible saves over the year and continuing into the playoffs.

Only 2 of the 8 Western teams have Cups, but pretty amazing both Chicago and Detroit are out in the first round.

And, my oh my, Lundqvist's comments after the game? "Someone obviously wanted them" to make it close? Get out your chequebook.

I'm talking about the West.

And the Sens will win Game 7.
It's the Tantrum Law. Crosby in Game 3, Giroux in Game 5, now Alfie in Game 6.

Also, if the Capitals and Rangers win their series the Flyers will be the only team left that has made it to the Conference Finals post-lockout.

We could potentially be the only team left after the 1st round to ever have won it. Discounting the Original Ottawa Senators back in the early 1900s. Washington Ottawa Florida Nashville LA St Louis and Phoenix

I suppose Alfredsson did out-tantrum Lundqvist, though it was funny seeing two otherwise mild-mannered players coming unglued. And as much as I wanted the Senators to win, that was a pretty questionable goal by Spezza.

Was a very questionable goal...

Though for that beastly shift Spezza kind of deserved a goal... was extremely impressive, he basically may as well have been the only man on the ice.

I always thought Smith was pretty good in Dallas, he played behind some crappy D in tampa, he also had some concussion issues there as well. Big guy, yet moves pretty good.

A long time ago when I was still on the Philly.com boards, I thought that we should have gone after Smith during his first or second year with TB. This might have been the off-season before we signed Bobrovsky, I don't really remember. I never thought he'd be good, but I never though he'd put up these numbers.

Undeniably, Smith has had an amazing year. But, then again, so did Brian Elliott, who was putrid in Ottawa.

Looking at the quick highlight video (you know before and after commercials before the game starts) you can tell the compiler is a Debs fan. Had like 3-4 devil goals/hits and then 1 Panthers hit or goal...rinse and repeat.

Fla and NJ are the softest teams in the playoffs.

Florida win + one of Senators/Capitals win would be optimal for the Flyers.

Stupid penalty by Upshall. Didn't have to sucker the guy while he was on the ground.

I never understood Flyer fans love for Upshall.. He was always a marginal player with good speed. But nothing else.
