I don't really want to make a thread and I don't know where else to post this. Does anyone think it's possible to have four 100 point players? We might end up having four players that are capable, but can they all do it in one season?
I'm not necessarily talking about the Oilers, it's more of a hypothetical question.

I don't think that very likely to happen to any team in this NHL. The second liners or 1B's or whatever probably wouldn't get enough PP and even strength to make it happen.

Imagine a healthy Crosby and a healthy Malkin with an elite winger for each of them to play with. I think it could potentially happen if two elite lines really find chemistry.
Then Smid will become GM, fail to acquire a superstar through trades/free agency after a miraculous run to the cup finals, and you guys know the rest of the story.

I suppose. It would just be hard for all four of them to pan out to that level of offensive firepower. Maybe three could, but I like to lowball it now, so maybe just two.
I was visiting my parents today, and my dad was a huge Oilers fan back in the dynasty day. As he's gotten older and we moved to where it's hard to keep up with the Oilers, he's stopped watching. He asked me how they were doing, and I explained we sucked...But I also said our young prospects are similar (obviously not as great) to the old guys--Gretzky, Messier (minus being a center), Kurri, Anderson, and Tikkanen (harti). I then told him not to get too excited because we dont have a Coffey.
