Oh speaking of Letang...

BIG - for doing his "shoosh" imitation right before he got tossed / went off the ice. That was just... ego. Love the fight in the kid but he still has some maturing to do.

It might be a way of letting them get off their own game by trying to get us off of ours.
I doubt they will goon it up when they're up 3-0 in the series and have the rest of the playoffs to play.

Yeah, I'm loving Sid's heel turn. I hope he just starts answering "why did you do that, Sid?" with "because I'm Sidney Crosby."

I love when he's an unmitigated, grimy *******.

Grossman's hit on Neal was much worse than both of those incidents - that was a direct intent to injure. You can't really say the same about Neal's hits.
for does with a DVR, you can slow it down frame by frame and see its not a headshot

neal's left arm contacts G's side and his right arm hits him in the upper back. at the top and middle of the shoulder blades as giroux tries to turn away from the hit

Thought for sure this team would come out more disciplined on the road and either win or lose a 2-1 game. What can you do?

As far as the other stuff, Jesus that's playoff hockey. Why do so many people get upset or "embarrassed" by it? Did anyone catch the Ott-Rags game?

Sometimes it is like half the people on this site never saw hockey before this season, judging by all of the whining over the rough stuff.

Crosby is edgy and dirty at times... So? Messier made Crosby look like a perennial Lady Bing nominee and last time I checked he is widely acknowledged as the best leader in NHL history.

No reason to breakdown the game.... It is what it is and it as been an issue for two months now.

In a game where he decided to bench Vitale, showing again he has an idiotic theory about how he treats rookies... I admit I was laughing at how another Flyer rookie schooled his vets, when Read scored two pivotal goals.... 3 games in a row it has happened now and I bet DB still hasn't had a light go off yet.

Asham's hit-and-swing was crap and he deserves whatever he gets from the league IMO.

Except for the little part that the puck was nowhere near couturier.

TSN's panel said Crosby needs to be more like Toews last year.

I like Sid like this, no more generic interviews, he's showing emotion.

They are up 3-0 and have Lavio and Berube behind their bench. They are going after Neal Wednesday.

Neal was great offensively but he his late hit and then attempted whack to Giroux cannot go unanswered.

I am hoping the Pens reel off 4 in a row by the way. Unlikely but maybe Sid gets mad, Geno starts to play, and the support players come to life.

I hope Sid goes through the handshake line just pulling his hand back saying "sike!" to everyone. Just to perpetuate his troll game.

Crosby really man'd up in so many ways, here is a list:

-Starting with perhaps my fav moment, when Crosby and Schenn were holding each other I read his lips and he said "You wanna go?" to Schenn, I could not see what Schenn said but after he got a reply Crosby said "What a ****ing *****". Leads me to beleive that Schenn declined.
Crosby was game and ready to go with a guy who is definitely more rugged, to me anyway, and had that eye of the tiger look and then Schenn doesnt oblige. Any Flyer that calls him a pansy should take a look at that and realize they had their chance and he came accross looking way better than any Flyer.
-The grabbing of Hartnell, he was chirping him and then backed it up.
-Post game interview, some true emotion and not blaming anyone or ref, just telling it like it is and saying he is gonna handle it his own way, not looking to make friends. Boy was that awesome.

All in all he had a great game, its too bad there were so many undisciplined penalties but man did I convert based on solely this game. I hope he stays this badass!!!
i dont think he had any attention of going with shenn

nor should he

I've never seen Crosby like that in an interview. Just completely politically incorrect. It's important that he controls his emotions and puts his energy in to the right cause which is winning game 4. Nonetheless, it's refreshing to see that this is REALLY bothering him. At least we know our captain will do anything it takes to win.

I am about to sell my car to buy tickets on the glass behind the Penguins' bench for game 4 just so I can blow this picture up and hold it up behind Bylsma all game long.

Yep, cause Toews led the Blackhawks to a one-and-done playoff appearance last year. I hope Towes/Stamkos is positioned as the new face of the league. Probably Stamkos cause nothing the NHL likes more than good ol' Ontario boys that missed the playoffs 3 of the 4 years he's been in the league. They probably get hard-ons thinking of ways to extricate him from that southern hellhole that doesn't appreciate him like we would.

No amount of leadership is going to stop that terrible first goal or make Martin clear the puck on PK with authority.

The defense has had the entire playoffs off so far, so what's the difference?
