Some people will tell he was but he wasn't. 2.52 gaa, .898 Save% in 7 game series is ****. Pretty much sums up clutch Fleury.

this defense was one of the best in the league last year. He wasn't going to blow that up in the middle of a season where we were in 4th place and rising pretty rapidly

With the way he's played and also the complete lack of defense played by the entire team, I'm surprised it's over 70%

Well, Neither of the two ever had playoff success. Neither are physical and that's what it takes to win in the playoffs. I think he can take a piece of the blame.

Why not? Wtf were his scouts thinking giving Martin 5 million/season? Could they not see that his "solid" play in Jersey was a product of their system? I mean come on. They were his scouts and he signed him to that albatross of a contract. He does bear @ least some blame.

I didn't think he was that amazing, he had his chance to steal a game to advance to the next round. He didn't.

It works like this; "Would you like to make 5 million dollars and have a chance to play NHL hockey in Toronto, or would you like to make 5 million dollars and play hockey in Wilkes-Barre?"

This is his third poor playoff performance in a row.

I dislike how the Pens don't sustain physicality. They play with better energy and do better when they do. At this rate, the Flyers won't even suffer in anyway from playing the Pens as opposed to the physicality that was expected.

The defense was one of the best in the league last year. Martin was very good last year. As were Michalek and Orpik. Shero doesn't have a crystal ball. This is the players falling apart or the coaches changing something. I honestly don't know. But when they were signed they were all very good players.

Bringing up Despres, Strait, and Morrow next year isn't the answer. They may all be good, but we need guys that can actually clear the net, lay people out, etc.

And our bottom 6 cannot be guys like Kennedy, Cooke, Adams, Park, etc, especially when our top 6 are littered with guys like Kunitz, Sully, Dupuis, etc. We need some guys that can crash and bang, get to the net, and be tough to play against. Cooke used to be. Not anymore. I hate the guy, but I'd love to see Chris Neil on this team.

He probably would accept a trade to many teams if someone would take him.

Are you that blind. MAF sucks, he has been awful in the last three playoffs back to the MON series.

What good is a makeover if you don't get rid of the biggest factor and one core player?

You realize this is a CORE problem largely centered on MAF? Yea let's keep him!

I'm sure the Flyers woulda been fine with their makeover if the just let Leino go??????!!!!!

Dude you gotta break up at some point...half ass makeovers don't work.

The forwards have played fine, but the defense/goaltending have definitely ruined this series for us. Just a pathetic effort.
