Captains are Brad Tiley of the Milwaukee Admirals and Craig Darby of the Springfield Falcons.

Rest of the roster should be released this week. I know the coaches are annouced on the 30th. Fan voting ended yesterday night.

Sportsnet usually has it and will probably have it this year as well.

No chance. The one criticism that I have about All-Star games is that every team has to have a representative. That being said, WB/S already will have Michel Ouellet and/or Kris Beech. In this case, Fleury's numbers aren't even close to being good enough to get consideration.

You have to figure that Garon will be chosen (especially since the game is in Manchester), as well as LaBarbera. There are so many Canadian-born goalies with good numbers, however, even the lowly Utah Grizzlies have to have a representative. The only person on that team that really deserves it is David LeNeveu. That being said, one of the other Canadian-born goalies having good seasons (Cam Ward, Brian Finley, Joey MacDonald, Alex Auld, Tyler Moss, Yann Danis, Pascal LeClaire) will be slighted.

Quite honestly, I would be surprised if Lehtonen was selected again. There are a few "Planet USA" goalies having better seasons (Antero Niittymaki, Hannu Toivonen, Ryan Miller, Dmitri Patzold). The other interesting goalie selection for Planet USA will be Manchester's Adam Hauser who, in only 19 starts, has 5 shutouts, a GAA under 2.00 and a save %age of .934.

do you think hauser will be selected with "only" 19 starts?

Probably not, especially since Manchester has so many other players that could be selected and since Garon is probably a lock as one of the Canadian goalies.

Even without Hauser, it's still a good possibility that Lehtonen won't be selected.

It would be interesting to see Hauser and Garon dueling in front of the Manchester crowd, but despite Hauser's impressive stats, I would be shocked if he made it with the lack of playing time.

Although, you never know. Since the game is in Manchester they're probably gonna homer someone in there for the sake of the host.

LeNeveu will be selected by default, as he is the only player on Utah not struggling, but you cannot say he doesn't deserve to be an All-Star.

The Canadian roster is supposed to be released tomorrow, and the PlanetUSA roster on Thursday.

I assume Parise will be selected from Albany.

Pho,

I never said that he isn't struggling, nor that he doesn't deserve to be an All-Star. Given the horrible team that he is on, he has played very well. However, it's tough to pick a guy like LeNeveu with a 2.94 GAA and a .907 save %age over a guy (for example) like Cam Ward who has a 2.08 GAA and a .934 save %age.

An argument could be made for Peter White to make the squad. I was actually a bit surprised that Brad Tiley was selected as the Canadian captain. Had White been selected, it would have given the Grizzlies their lone representative. Milwaukee, on the other hand, has a number of guys that could be selected, including goaltender Brian Finley.

I hope Suglobov goes...I would rather alot of skilled players rather then two way players. I would actually rather see Suglobov play over Parise....tough choice though.

For San Antonio you could go a few different ways. Travis Scott has saved the team from having like 30 losses right now.

Weiss up front is the only forward even deserving a slight amount of mention in the same sentence with All-Star.

I expect SanAntonio to have a dman picked. Lukas Krajicek and Joel Kwiatkowski will be there. One of the two at least IMO. I think Kiwi will, but Krajicek should get some recognition. I can't really see any SA forwards making it at all. Kiwi or Krajicek IMO will go.

Minnesota could have two:

Brent Burns- PlanetCanada as a defenseman

and/or

Mikko Koivu- PlanetEarth as a center...

Burns is more of a stretch as this point than Koivu, who is, at the moment, completely tearing up the league with 12 goals, and now tonight his 12th assist in only 28 games. That is extremely crazy for a first year, international - to - NHL ice player.
