I see 0 reason to use MP over Mojo there instead.

All I can picture is a large number of badly timed drop passes to an 85 that's getting ragdolled off of the puck and 28 dive-hooking to save breakaways.

Yeah especially as Perreault is not a winger in any way.

He was playing wing at the morning skate on the 3rd line today

id like to see ward get a look on that 3rd line. hes been pretty decent imo but playing with hendy and aucoin = 0 chance. isnt this the time of year he was brought in for? and laich...yeah i like splitting ovi and nicky too if either - hopefully both - can get something going, but laich is an offense KILLER right now. cant make a pass, catch a pass, forecheck, do anything. i understand not changing much given a road split, but theyre winning in complete and total spite of laich centering ovi.

But generally you are right, which is why most teams have lines where either everyone can take care of their own end or the line is just an offensive and possession power house like Hartnell-Briere-Leino
I think what youre seeing is players making defensive plays after there is some sort of breakdown.....more reactive as oppsoed to calculated and proactive

the NHL game is way too fast to be shifting your coverages so your weakest link doesnt have to cover scoring chances

A forward making a defensive play is much more likely to be making that play post-break down.....not to prevent a break down

And Laich has played defense but that doesn't make him a blueliner. But who am I to questions Hunter's line/lineup decisions...

The Caps are playing stifling, collapsing D. Its a great way to negate the Bruins, because they haven't seemed to want to battle in the slot at all. Its all about the points and the boards.

Anyway, just wanted to say that this series seems pretty damned civil as compared to much of the other craziness going on in the NHL. And its been fun to watch. I'll just close up my comment by saying that I hope the series stays "relatively" civil and nobody gets seriously hurt.

May the best team win. Carry on.
I have always preferred lower-scoring, physical battles. Just speaking for myself, so far, this series has been a gift from the gods.

That's true it was just a hypothetical. I think Semin and MP had a good chemistry going before Nicky returned. So I assumed if you could get the 3 of them together they could be a great line. (just as a shake up for a period to just to see)

I know staples copy and print center can resize any image for their wideformat printing. Its just a matter of how pix-elated it will get

Logic fail.

What I did is no different than if someone came on here and started posting that Dale was a loser as a player, didn't know how to win, was nothing but a cheapshot artist, etc., and someone defended him. Should the potential Dale defender just 'let it go' because Dale isn't a player here anymore? Would it be silly for that person to defend Dale?

if you want to waste your time arguing that fine......

tip for you, if someone says something ridiculous like that they are either trolling, an idiot, or both. Do you think you are changing their mind?

its just time to move on from the BB arguements.....he coaches another team, best of luck to him.

Well, the Caps are 1-0 so far while I've been in Vegas. If they win tonight, I might be forced to stay longer. I feel it's my duty as a Caps fan.

Last game was fun. Me and two other Caps fans in a sea of Boston tears in the sportsbook.
