As I said, the glorious chances missed when the Marlies had the momentum really hurts right now.

Percy looks pretty bad today. I think he'll find comfort in the NHL where things can become a little more structured, but right now he can't even make/take a pass.

Marlies still look like the better team.

Marlies inexperience showing, they should get better as the playoffs move along, if they make a deep run. The 1st rd will be the challenge.

Wow Frattin. Great hit and a lucky bounce for Deschamps.

Frattin looked like a man playing against boys on that play. My god, he just took that over. Awesome play.

Well deserved, I was the only person that voted that Deschamps was the best Marlie on the Marlie site in their opening game. D'amigo most opportunistic, but Nick did the leg work. Looking like another good trade off of Anaheim, perhaps we can get the 6th pick off of them too.

Why is Scrivvy having so many problems with his rebounds today?

A better 2nd period than the score indicate. I thought their puck possession was solid and did a good job producing offensively.

And could you imagine if the pick turns out to be a gem.

I knew he wasnt going to pass after laying body like that but its great to see hes smart enough to realize the odd man and take a snapper low pads to make a good rebound chance if he cant snipe it. I know he likes going top cheese alot if he tried it there it wouldve wasted the chance. What a beast

Deschamps was picked ahead of Shultz, that's how high they thought of him. Not sure why he struggled in ANA or why they gave up on him? But he was thought to be a possible 1st rder that year.

Small trade of 2 struggling prospects between teams, may help both teams out. Hopefully Caputi works out for them, ideally you want trades to help both teams. Otherwise no one will trade with you in future.

We have many young players playing meaningful hockey in April. Whether it's Brad Ross or Greg McKegg in the CHL or all the prospects on the Marlies, the experience is meaningful to those individuals. The more individuals it helps, the greater chance of it helping the big club.

Personally, I think it's great that 18 year old Stuart Percy is getting his 1st glimpse of Pro hockey.

That doesn't replace NHL playoff hockey although I've seen some terrible games in the last few weeks.
I do not diminish the opportunity for development for the players on the Marlies-Americans by playing in the AHL playoffs. Not what Im saying. From a hockey fan perspective I am speaking...that is all. I say this as Boston just scores 2 goals in 30 seconds to tie the game 2-2 lol......

That's because D'Amigo was the best Marlie during game 1

Deschamps looks good but he wouldn't translate well into the NHL.

Kadri, Frattin, D'Amigo, Ashton (although he doesn't have top-6 potential), & Holzer look like they could be competent NHLers.

From a morbid Kessel POV, is Seguin off the 0?

I love playing ball..but not a big fan no. I had more appreciation as an MLB fan when the Jays were a powerhouse team in the early 90's. Other than that no. If the Jays return to those glory days, I will be back...so I guess no not really a baseball fan. Hockey is different. The Leafs have never been a "powerhouse" in my 4 decades of being a fan but it hasn't deterred me from watching them.
