Someone tell me why Kadri gets so much hate from our fanbase? It nearly equals the hate that Phil Kessel gets despite being top 10 in scoring.

He celebrates a goal: Classless act.
He doesn't celebrate that very goal: What a d-bag doesn't even celebrate and thinks that the AHL is a joke.

Excited to score a goal AND doesn't scratch his head with the acceptable fingers? What a nutcase we have on our hands.

Possibly part of the reason why the Leafs collapsed this year.

Once a hint of not going our way comes along, the fanbase/media gets on the players like they all suck and shouldn't be pro athletes.

Sure, these guys are paid a lot of money to do this, but man, they are still human and need support. The media and the fans don't seem to enjoy supporting the team and it's players.

Seems most would rather throw the team under the bus once a bit of adversity hits and make them feel like they shouldn't even be in the NHL.

It's weird......

Have to say, not that it matters, but I thought his celebration was ridiculous.

Goal he scored was ridiculous and sealed the game for them. He could have done a full ice skate and drop to his knees ala Theo Fluery for all i care. He finally broke free and did something offensively and that's what matters. Lets just see if he can keep building on it.

I second that. This guy has talent. Why he isn't playing in the NHL on a full time basis is beyond me.

Fleury did his best Michael Phelps impersonation

Ovy did the hot stick

Teemu did the machine gun glove celly

Even our prized Phil Kessel, when he scored a big goal against wisconsin, skated around half the rink with his hand cupped at his ear

Byfuglien taunted the Vancouver crowd

Kesler taunted the entire Nashville bench in the playoffs last year

You know what, you're allowed to think that it was a stupid celly. Was it necessary? No. Was it over the top? Maybe, but WHO CARES. Honestly people, these are not things that you rip into players for. This is pure emotion. And if Kadri is causing this much **** on these boards, I can only imagine how mad he is making the other team...which is awesome. He is going to make his living being an ultra-skilled pest. Get it through your heads people, this player is not going to win any Lady Byngs. He has been described by his own GM as a "little *******" (I believe Burkie said this when he drafted him).

Just to be fair I think Grabo looks like a big time idiot when he body checks the glass after scoring a goal. Anyone for that matter. Ovi, etc. All clowns to me.

Only Leafs fans have problems with goal celebrations. I guess you guys were happy when we got shutout, what was it? 11? times in 2010-11 season.

Kadri is a very good prospect. Can't believe so many idiots still bash him.

I missed the last couple of pages in this thread so I perused it and am I seriously seeing hate for Kadri because of a goal celebration? I didn't see it but I'm guessing it's just the normal haters blowing everything out of proportion because we don't have anything else to analyze with a microscope at this time of the year.

Give me a break. SMH.

Lmao youd rather them what? Just skate to the bench to give props to the rest of the team. We can tell youve never played a sport before, you can stop proving that point more.

You've never seen Yzerman or Sakic score clearly. Once you do it with regularity, you act like you've done it before.

Being cocky is bad karma, bites you in the ass.

But who cares with Kadri, guy iced a series 90% of players celly hard after they score, he's a 21 year old kid, he's learning. Gotta love the excitement. If anything we've gotta be pumped that our top prospect is not dejected by not making the big club, and determined to help this organization to a Calder Cup.

Rag on the guy for other things, but if this is what you target, you're just a delusional hater.

Why is everyone in such a hurry to pronounce the end/arrival of Kadri's career one way or the other?

Check out the rookies this year, all they all 20 years old? Certainly not. Only the best can come into the league at 20, some of the other rookies this year were drafted a year, 2 years, 3 years before Kadri. Several are 25 years old.

I suspect 2012-2013 or at latest 2013-2014 he'll be a full time NHL player.

At this point he's just an unproven prospect.

Hoping that the Marlies play the Heat next round, would be able to get out to the games in Abbotsford

It would be a good matchup.

Depending on Portland's playoff hopes in the next week, they could get Baertschi during the matchup (if it happens), which would give them a good boost.

However, Portland has a good chance to take the WHL crown, or at least make it to the finals. They are up 2-0 in their series against Tri-City.

EDIT:

Man is it ever hard to spell Baertschi on the fly!

Well the Leaf/Raptor private plane is available. Geography should not be an issue.
