Bring Bill Guerin in behind the bench for game 4?

Something worked when he was in the locker room during his tenure w/ the team. Would others endorse him assistant coaching for Game 4 and issuing out verbal smackdowns in practice to get people's heads out of the netherregions and back into the game?

Bring a gun behind the bench. Tell Martin and company to play defensively responsible hockey or else.

Not sure if even that would be enough motivation for ol Paulie to take the body to make a play.

At this point nothing could make the situation worse on the bench. But not sure if it'd help ether. So meh to the idea.

Yah that's pretty much grasping at straws to do something like that.

I've never heard of such a maneuver and I can't imagine why it would ever work.

Rather have Roberts behind the bench. Speaking of coaching moves. The Penguins flew back to Pittsburgh today and Dan has given them all tomorrow off to think about how terrible they have been playing.

Did he forget that they've essentially been on vacation since last Saturday?

You go with what got you to the dance.
When Bylsma says "I expect this will be a low scoring affair." The guy has to be totally blind to NOT see whats happening on the back end. The whole Wilkes/Barre D-Core would play better in front of Fleury.

At this point. You don't change a thing except little adjustments and pray your backend holds up.

You'll see new faces up front but they really need new faces in the back end. Despres, Strait, Picard. Who ever!

The Pens lost a ton of character after their cup win. It doesn't look like Crosby/Malkin/Neal/Letang are ready for the full on leadership role yet. Losing guys like Guerin, Scuderi, Gill, etc really hurt the Pens. That's my two cents anyway.

Crosby's done a damn good job as a leader IMO. Funny how I've heard no complaints about his leadership until yesterday. Personally I have no problems with what he did. You can tell he's hungry and wants to win at least one.

Still it's pretty sad when he of all people (a generational talent who'se already battled concussions) is one of the only players that truly gives a **** and is willing to fight/risk serious blows to the head in an attempt to do that. Or at least to try and spark the team to try.

you'd better plan Guerin's ride to the hospital in advance too. Berube would roll anybody in the Penguins' organization, players included.

It's just like "my dad can beat up your dad", except in message board format.
