Sutter's Envelope Full of Cash?

So late in the second period last night the camera cuts to King's coach Darryl Sutter on the bench and he's got his line-up sheet folded in half length-wise between his teeth, like a dog with his bone, and it appears there's some cash stacked in there, too.

Later they cut to him again and the folded sheet of paper is tucked into his waistband, over his right hip, and the cash still seems to be there.

1) Anybody else catch this?

2) If it was cash, whatever was it for?

Is there a clip of this? I didn't see it, but I was watching the CBC feed (not sure if you were as well).

I saw it but don't think it was money. I could be wrong I guess, but I doubt it.

My fiance told me that she didnt' think it was much of a fight. I said that Kopitar isn't a fighter so he just clenched Burrows. Great job by Kopi on getting in there. Such an amazing hit. I can't wait to buy an auto pic of Brown hitting Sedin!!
Too bad it wasn't someone else against Burrows, would loved to see him get his face samshed in.

Thanks for clearing that up for your wife. It's not so much the fight, it's how Kopi responded and didn't want his teammate to be outnumbered. Like you said, Great job by Kopi!

Obviously bounty money, he was getting ready to pay Brown for that Sedin hit.

Didn't some coach give out money as reward for good on-ice performance? Was it Wilson with the Leafs?

The transaction wouldn't be carried out on the bench. Who knows. Maybe someone handed him it for some reason and he was holding onto it, or he was giving it to nearby staff for something. Maybe he just wanted a Coke from a nearby machine, who knows...

Maybe he was hoping Sedin would come and grab it out of his mouth with his breasts. Dirty dog.

I came here to post that. Sutter's going Sean Payton mode now.

Either that or he's going to Rhino's with Bailey after the game.

It's his change from his In-n-Out double double pregame meal that Kompon was trying to keep. The dude never gives back change.

Logically he keeps his game notes in his pocket. So when he folds his game notes they probably got stuck with this money. Even than it looks like two dollars at most.
