We will be caught up with the NHL tomorrow. Only a GD behind. I won't sim Saturday as I'm flying again all day, but will sim on the other days before and after.... so we could in theory match the day.

Last Years lottery results were great. But this year I'm glad to not be involved. Good luck to those who are.

I prefer using the NHL lottery results as well.

If the season isn't done, we just need to insure teams don't purposefully change the way they have been lining up their team, otherwise a draft position penalty will occur. This won't be a major issue either way, as the season should be done, or perhaps 1 game left.

I thought that had already been established - yes, there's no reason not to go with the NHL lottery to determine which position moves up in our draft.

Actually, this would be the first time that we've ever used the NHL's results to determine our own (because we can't always count on being in step with the NHL's schedule), but whatever.

For the life of me, I can't seem to figure why this subject has become a point of contention for a couple of years running. Either way you cut it, it's just a random number generator!

I had understood the intention was to use the result of the NHL lottery to determine ours for a couple of years, schedule permitting. Since this is the first time the schedule actually does permit, it'll be the first year we do it. It shouldn't be a big deal either way, but it's kinda cool to have Bill Daly announce the HFNHL results on live TV.

I thought we had used the NHL results 2 or 3 years ago.

I think it would be fun to tie it to the NHL results since it's a show we can follow along with.

Pretty sure we have used NHL results at least once before.

Let's go Anaheim!

Yeah... 'cause that's what they need - another high-skill winger, with no defence behind them and only one center.
