I saw a couple of Ottawa fans gushing how bright their future is because their young team is playing so well against the #1 seed. Now, correct if I'm wrong, but, I'm pretty sure the Rangers may be just as young overall as the Sens...we don't have three players as old as Kuba, Phillips or Gonchar on D, plus, Spezza and Neil ain't exactly young.
they do also have silfverberg and zibanjed on the way though.

Very quickly done, but Ottawa looks something like 27.75 on average, and the Rangers are 26.70 ish.
There's no such thing as a "fair trade". We should have won Game 2.
absolutely. Rangers should be up 3-0 right now. Saturday's loss burned me good. they played much better with the lead this game in the third, but still Lundqvist had to save us.
We need to get a lead going fairly early next game. they've got to do a better job of controlling the NZ. We can't keep having waves of Senators descending upon us.
This is playoff hockey. And goaltending and Defense wins games. Dont worry so much about the players, as the machine heats up those that may seem a bit luke warm will start to produce.
Let's hope so, because they can't count on Lundquist to pitch a shutout every game. Goaltending and defense are crucial, but the offense has to show up consistently. Can't rely on grinding out 1-0 and 2-1 wins all the time -- that's just not realistic.
The memorial Sean Avery award for pissing of an entire team and fanbase game after game goes to Brian Boyle for this series.

Maybe the Sens fans should taunt Hank some more before the game even starts. Certainly got him off his game today...
Also, could you guys imagine how much better Boyle would be of Carkner didn't scare him in Game 2? Could only dream.
**** the Sens, and **** their fans. Where are they now? Don't have anything to troll about on our boards, do you? Probably spewing some crap on the main boards instead.

Did you watch the first two games of the Boston/Washington Series? It happens from time to time.
What would be the reasoning for that? Because Carkner's back? Scott would be a major liability on the ice out there. Scott is offensively and defensively inferior to Mitchell, and I wouldn't make that trade-off just to have a little extra punching power.
Kreider got better as the game progressed. I think it was a good idea to get him off the top line the last half of the 3rd.
Can't say I was disappointed, he was put in an insanely tough position for a guy straight out of college. The pace of this game was even faster than a normal playoff game. I can't imagine how much faster it was than the National Championship game, probably an order of magnitude.
Also he got winded quick as he was even close to being used to that pace. You can tell he was dying 30 seconds into a particular shift.
A lot of that has to do with not playing a game in over a week.

Agreed. Only way Scott see's ice time is if we play the Bruins. Thats the only reason we acquired him IMO. (Dumb as it is) He would prove very useful against the Bruins.

There's more to talk about in the Sens' game. The Rangers' game was fairly simple and effective, there were no fights, and we can't all suck Hank's **** at once. Come on over to the Sens board if you want to talk hockey.

You mean talk about driveling butthurt fans who think that Anderson's better than Hank? No way.
Chris Osgood was very effective in his last two playoff years, as well as the '97-'98 Cup run. Obviously, he had a good supporting cast, but he was a key to their deep playoff runs. Check out his 2007-2009 playoff stats.
Not the best playoff goalie of all-time, but he tended to step up when he needed to.

Haha. I'll pass. Sens fans are probably whining about a hit or shove Karlsson took.
And I can't even imagine how much Brian Boyle is trolling you guys right now.
