I have never seen a player play in a series at such a high level in literally every facet of the game. Absolutely remarkable.
Agitator
Penalty killer
Clutch goal scorer
What hasn't Boyle been this series? Knock on wood big time because when you play this good it's hard to sustain. I've been more than thankful with his play thus far. Best forward in the series, hands down.
Gentlemen, I think we have a legit power forward at this stage.
Two if Kreider pans out right.
Eh, let's not get carried away. Boyle is now playing like the player that many of thought he could turn into last year: one of the best third liners in the league, and that is very valuable.

He disappeared for basically an entire season (last half of last season, and the first half of this one)
I don't think we have anything but a good third liner who's playing his ass off. I really can't expect him to keep up this production the entire playoffs, let alone an entire season.
It amuses me people think him suddenly showing up justifies his atrocious first half of the season. You can't produce like he was and get the ice time he was as well and not deserve criticism. I like Boyle and think he's a great glue guy for this team, but let's not pretend he's anything more than he is. Just ride the hot streak while it lasts and enjoy it.

Exactly. Let's just hope this streak continues!
Always loved Boyle for the type of guy he is and his seemingly huge chemistry with the team, but let's face it, throughout the regular season he was just "Brian Boyle". Throughout the last 7 or so games he's stepped it up and played hard and smart, and I love him for it. I'm not going to bet on him becoming some kind of 25 goal scorer in the future, though. For now, all I care about is NOW, and right NOW, Brian Boyle is playing #therightway.
He has been playing great. Look at how someone like Dave Bolland played for Chicago when they won the cup a couple of years ago. You need some of your role players to step up during the playoffs. Feds is another guy who has done that throughout his career.
He is a streaky goal scorer. This run the last few games reminds me of the first half last year where he scored the majority of his goals.
Can't believe some people wanted him out a few months ago...even when he's not scoring he's an asset. He's been a beast down the stretch and in the playoffs. Love this guy.
Man I look up Boyle and i expect to see a 21 or 22 year old breaking out... some new 6'7" guy that has a ton of talent and pedigree destroying my Sens... find out he is 27 and been hanging around for a long time! LOL! nothing against him... he has killed the Sens this series... I guess I have more hope he is done in influencing the series now! LOL hope I am right!!!

I agree with everything thing but the bolded.
He had a pretty miserable regular season.
He's goal per game in the playoffs (granted, only 3 games in).
It doesn't make being MIA for a while perfectly fine, but I'd rather have him go beast now than 3 months ago.
let's be honest... he may be playing the best hockey of his career right now-- certainly the second best player on this team tonight.(3rd period henrik was BEAST) and all but he is still one ugly sasquatch mother ****er.
really glad this guy is stepping up. i had him wrote off earlier in the season.
he's a talented guy, just doesn't keep the consistency.

Why can't he keep his production up? There have been a littany of "glue" guys that made a living off of being a HUGE playoff performers.
I agree he is playing his ass off but he has done that all season, the biggest change in Boyle is that he is making a decision quicker. It is nice to see a kid like him start to put things together.
Dude is getting hot at the perfect time. He always works his ass off and is a great teammate. He will never be the guy that the Kings thought they were drafting in the first round, but he has the ability to be one of the best third line centers in the league and with his work ethic that is a very achievable goal
not to rain anyones parade but he did lose every single faceoff to spezza in game 2 which lead to the tying and winning goals...he just needs to work on his faceoff skills other than that he has been clutch and strong on the puck
He is a perfect 3rd line center. He plays ion all situations, is hard to play against, hits, will drop the gloves if need be. He is a streak goal scorer, he is hot right now, I just hope it continues but his overall play has been excellent for more than a year.
