Cam Russell said last game that if these were playoff games he'd be in the lineup, but they're waiting for him to be 100%.
I agree with what they're doing. He could play, but why not let him rest up... MacKinnon had a nagging shoulder injury for awhile in the 2nd half of last season after he took a hit in PEI, missed a few and immediately played in the U17's. Best to let him heal

Andrew Ryan doesn't belong on the first line... I have a feeling the game would've gone differently with Drouin in the picture tonight.

Smart, they're still rolling without him but it'd be a bigger treat to see him play than just Mackinnon

Like I said, it was always "day-to-day" and they made it sound like he would barely miss any time.

If you're wondering about Duclair btw, he started skating again today and says two-three weeks still.

I agree with it too, I just miss watching him play.

I didn't watch the game tonight but I'm still pissed that Falkenham hasn't gotten a chance in the top six.
Maybe I'm alone here, but I think he'd do well there.

I think his ceiling is 2nd line wing. He played a lot of the game tonight with MacKinnon and looked like when he had space, made some nice shots/plays. I like him as an energy player this year though, with the ability to score 10-15. Problem for him is the depth we have. Once Drouin is back, and with our 2nd line on fire, Falkenham goes to Line 4. He would be a top 6 player on half the teams in the league imo.

Yup. We need Drouin back though as Ciampini and Boudreau can't be split up and Ryan doesn't belong on line 1.

Sounds like the moose could use a guy like Tesink.

Already has a goal and an assist.

And he ends the night 2+2.

Drew has GOT to be a threat to go top 3 if he keeps this up. Such a treat to watch, a guaranteed goal if he gets a breakaway.

Jonathan Drouin will go top 3 in the 2013 draft, book it. Him and mackinnon are the best 17 year old Q players I've seen since Crosby. And I've watched the moose every year since the Crosby days

Whats a good comparison for Drouin? Even better than Giroux?

I think a little better then Giroux at the same age, very close though. He does seem very similar to him the more i see him, amazing hands is an understatement

On his short handed goal he made it look way too easy. Puck on a string and fooled the goalie with his body language. Forehand to backhand, top cheese.

His hands and vision are probably on par, or even better at the moment. (Not as good considering the age difference.)

Drouin is a far less explosive skater than McDavid.

Bigger than Giroux right now I think. Can't say enough about his hands... Wow. I really wanna see the Moose play Quebec or BLB right now.

Is Drouin a greater talent than Yakupov? I certainly haven't seen Yak as much as Jo, but his points-per-game to start the season are similiar and Drouin's hans and IQ are the best in the draft imo, and that's what it sounds like. Wondering if I'm crazy or if anyone else thinks he may be better lol

Is he really 190lbs? I've looked everywhere and all I find is 5'11 176lbs. Looks too skinny and short for that size.
