Confirmed by no less than the kid himself just after his recent injury.

I put Drouin above Yakupov 2012-13 combined draft list some time ago and some jumped on me because of that . I think I was the only one who put Drouin above Yak there. Well, I think they are pretty much coin flip but Drouin gets the notch if I had to choose because he can play C.

And he's name is cooler.

I went to last nights game. Drouin is the real deal. He reminds me of a mix of Toews and Giroux. Maybe he won't be as good as either, but he's got unbelievable skill and vision. He will be a solid #2 centre at the very least.

from what I've seen so far, and from what I've been told, I'd have to agree with you on that...

Why isn't Droun playing C instead of this McKinnon kid, who seems to have speed to burn but not the talent of Drouin seeing plays? Drouin should go in top5 come the draft.

He's kind of gritty in terms of corner digging, but Mackinnon is a lot less fearful and physical

No site has updated his measurements. In an interview last Friday he said he was 5'10 192.

I also don't think Drouin will play C. So far this season MacKinnon's shown he'll be a center in the NHL, and Drouin just seems like a great LW.

Which is lame since it somewhat diminishes his value..

So he shrunk and gained 16 pounds....make sense.

I always get a chuckle over what some sites use for measurements. I know sometimes teams will "round up" on the height a bit too.

Haha I thought I heard 5'10 3/4. Maybe he was never 5'11

Top 4-5 IMO. He is unlikely to pass Nate, Barkov and Jones unless one flop or have a very poor combine. But I won't be shocked if he goes 4th.

He actually only has 6 less points than Nate, playing 6 less games. Best 2 players in our history imo

Seriously, I'm I the only one who thinks Drouin could challenge for the 1st overall pick by the end of the year? Or at least top 3. MacKinnon might be a bit too optimistic of a target, but Jones and Barkov are definitely in his ballpark. I just wish the Habs will draft him!
