MacKinnon's invite (and making the team in general) is all but a guarantee, but with this play, Drouin is sure to get an invite... I wish HC would open up more to 17yo's as I think having these two on a line would make Canada's second line deadly.
Ya I do and ill likely watch it, who are they playing?
I mostly just watch OHL since I have season tickets for the Ice Dogs
November 9th vs. Gatineau.
Fun facts - Mooseheads only loss this season was an embaraasing home opener 6-1 to these same Gatineau Olympiques.
The last time the Moose were on Sportsnet we lost 9-0 to Rimouski in Game 5 of the semis. the time before that we lost 7-3 to Chicoutimi.
The guy keeps on impressing... Drouin keeps on putting up pts at an unbelievable rate and I keep making the same comment; HC has to keep these two together for the WJHC, especially if HC is serious about not pursuing RNH's release from the AHL.

I agree with bias as a season tix holder for the Moose but I can`t stand the "experience" arguement when it comes to the WJHC`s. I get it when the kid is 16, when 17, he should be all but good to go and there is absolutely no way Drouin, based on talent, should be left off a TC, truth is, it always comes down to the approach and system of whomever is behind the bench.
I`ll be honest, if I were coaching (and I`m about to present a reason why I could never be coach), I`d pick one checking line (4th line) and 3 lines of offensive kids and let em go, have fun, do what you do best. I get when an offensive player is asked to take on a different role, and the problem is the pressure the media/fans place on anything Team Canada that it`s a win or it`s failure situation. One year, I`d just love a coach to come in, say up front, were going to play fun, firewagon hockey, try and fill the opponents net and let the chips fall where they may
i would love for the flames to acquire another 1st and draft barkov/monahan and then Drouin. Having a future top line with sven and two of those would be unreal.
Outside of the top 3, (Mackinnon, Barkov, Jones) I think I'm leaning towards Drouin as my favorite for the JETS. At the moment, he narrowly edges out Monahan, Lindholm and Lazar.
For what it's worth, Drouin would look DYNAMITE in JETS blue.

I agree, but I hope he gets a chance to go head to head with Barkov, because I think based on what happens at the WJHC (if he plays) will determine if he goes top 3. Because at this point, I think he's got a legit shot at going number 3.
