I agree with every one of those besides Lalonde. I'd put Rensfeldt as more of a dissapointment. Bigger than the majority of the OHL, playing with Yakupov the majority of the season and still putting up poor numbers.
I am glad to see Hoefflin getting some love. This kid has the hands, vision, and skating ability to be a scorer at the NHL level.
Really looking forward to Pirri on the big squad, hopefully next year. Stick him between Sharp and Hossa and let Kane and Toews play together. I do like how Kane plays at center, but I really think he and Toews together have some special chemistry. Having a quality playmaker between Hossa and Sharp will give us 2 deadly lines. Based on what I've seen of Pirri, I think it is very possible he will fit the bill.
That makes no sense? He is most improved why? Because he played a bit with the Hawks?
He as always been solid. I agree with their choice and think the list was very well done.
Only thing im skeptical about is Beach being our break out dude. Maybe Morin,
He's the most improved because last year he didn't even look like he could play consistently at the AHL level, let alone get a sniff with Chicago. Despite that, he was the one of most impressive players at the Prospects camp and then followed that up with a very solid training camp before showing, when injuries arose, that he could handle playing in the NHL.
Pirri's biggest improvement came in the 2nd half of last season. He was very good this year, but I think anyone who saw Pirri play in the 2nd half of last season could tell you he was going to have a good season. Maybe not as good as he ended up having, but this was still a kid who put up 43 points as a 19-year-old.
