Hossa is one of my favourite hockey players, I loved him in Ottawa and I have followed his career ever since. It was devastating to see him taken away on a stretcher, I really hope he is alright.

I hope Hossa will be ok. Torres and his ilk need to be purged from the NHL. Disgusting.

PS - Rangers fan here (and I fully support Hagelin's suspension, he should have received more though). This crap needs to stop.

Anyway, prayers out to Hossa and his family.

My thoughts are with Hossa. That's a brutal fu*king hit in so many ways. We need that out of the game.

I don't wish that on any team, not even a team that I despise with all my soul.

Concerned about Hossa. Hockey is secondary right now

Not watching the game but saw the replay of the hit...when you say lack of movement you mean he wasn't moving at all? Jesus I hope he's ok.

Someone on another site that I go to said that Hossa is talking at the hospital.

I have no link or proof. Just hoping it's true.

My thoughts EXACTLY, Best wishes go out to Hossa, also really hoping the hawks win this series.

Seems excessive there's been some brutal hits this season. He definetly should and will be suspended though.

"At 10:05 p.m., Hossa was wheeled out of the emergency room exit at Northwestern Memorial hospital to a waiting Porsche. He got into the car on his own power. He had his hand to his forehead as he was wheeled out. A Blackhawks staffer there was carrying his equipment in a bag and said he couldn't comment on his injury. Hossa did not respond when a reporter asked how he was doing."

#Blackhawks' statement on Marian Hossa says winger had tests at hospital "which yielded encouraging results." Being monitored at home.
If it was anything major, I'm thinking he would not be allowed to leave.

Red Wings and long time Hossa fan. Saw the hit, it was disgusting. Hope Hossa pulls through and comes out the same guy. I am a firm believer that people can change but Torres has been given ample opportunities to clean up his act and he has failed repeatedly. The NHL needs to enact a three strike rule or something get this garbage out of the league and protect the players.

The fact that he's not in the hospital anymore would make me think that it's not a concussion, so that's hopefully great news in that regards.

No clue what it means about the broken jaw rumor, though. Once that's diagnosed, there's really no need to stay in the hospital, so it can mean anything.
