Explains what exactly? It's fine to elbow your idols?
In that case I seem to remeber Carkner said something about his idols are Richards and Lundquist

^ If Lehner comes in then Hoffman has to as well. Put him on the point on the PP. He's better than Phillips and actually probably all our other D besides Karlsson.

Any player that prone to a concussion most likely should not be playing a contact sport anymore. The hit proved that even minor contact to the head can be very bad.

We all saw it here in NY when Mike Richter (coming back from a fractured skull/bad concussion) came in contact with another players knee (very lightly) and he sustained another concussion, which ultimately ended his career.

Unfortunately, this is what most likely has happened to Alfredsson.

I'd like you to take an armored elbow to the temple at that speed. Come back and call it minor contact again. Please tone down the homerism.

How could we NOT know? Ever since the incident, we have been made aware of this fact and what a stand up player Hagelin is.

Is that supposed to matter to us? Is that supposed to make the situation better? We're missing the heart and soul of this team, maybe for the very last time. I don't care about Hagelin's feelings.

Pretty sure most of these players don't expect to be elbowed forcefully in the head.

That prone to a concussion....because getting hard plastic smacked into your head should be something a player can just easily shake off.

Crosby shouldn't be playing anymore by your logic.

'That prone to concussion' Quoi?
This is only his second in his career (15+ seasons). Both happened in the last 6 months, both at the hands (elbows?) of Ranger players.

Regardless, it wasn't a minor contact - it was a full on hit of the elbowpad to the temple.

I keep hearing about how Hagelin brushed Alfredsson's head and didn't solidly connect to his temple with his elbow.

Richter getting lightly contacted with another guy's knee is different than Alfredsson taking a flying elbow to the head.

If it was minor contact I'm sure he'd be fine.

It wasn't, it was major contact, and it likely would have caused a concussion in a player who'd never had an injury before.

The hit proved that major contact to the head causes concussions.

Something that everyone already knew.

Rangers fans always get back to blaming Alfredsson for getting injured.

I think you're on to something. He should do it just the way Hagelin got Alfie, just to show his appreciation. I don't think NYR fans will mind because it's just minor contact to the head.

How is Alfie "prone to concussion"??

Because he had one once in like 15 years?!

Apparently elbow pads are made of pillows now.

Maybe if New York's best player is Patrick O'Sullivan now.

What is it with the Rangers fans obsession with us?

It's like they care more about what's going on in our board than they do about the Rangers.
