Rangers can take a stranglehold on the series tonight and some fans are more concerned with "getting us worked up" in our GDT?

Man. If the roles were reversed, not a **** would be given about the Rangers board from me.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the key to winning this game is to score more goals than the Rangers.

I hope they play with the same energy tonight that they did on Monday.

There were four or five times where we just let the Rangers third forward skate through the high slot unchecked while their puck carrier worked the puck behind the net. I'd say that's something we need to work on.

Also getting Gonchar to not hesitate when trying to poke the puck from a Ranger at center ice when he's the last guy back on our PP. Led to a break for Boyle and Phillips ended up taking a penalty as a result.

who cares. that was a punk play, and he gave a punk explanation and a bs apology. in my opinion the guy is a punk and should not be allowed to play again until alfredsson returns.

But, under the circumstances having only got 3 games i can't wait till that little lying punk gets back on the ice and meets mr. carkner face to face.(or should i say fist to face)

Because we read your forum just like you read ours, so we see the comments you make behind our backs. That builds animosity between fanbases. Ie that guy who posted about Hagelin and Alfie being his idol, then going back and commenting that "I think I pissed them off "

I find it amusing that you (not necessarily you personally, but some Rangers fans) come here and act all peaceful and then talk about what idiots we are in your own GDT.

I'm pretty consistent in what I say, no matter where I say it.

I don't think Hagelin is a bad guy, but I think it was a bad hit. I don't think it was minor at all, and I'll challenge fans who try to be revisionist on that score.

Because it seems the majority of Rangers fans are coming here to tell us

a) how amazing a person Hagelin is, as if it matters.
b) Hagelin didn't do it on purpose, again, as if it matters. I believe he didn't, but the outcome remains the same - Alfie is gone.
c) how amazing the Rangers are, as if we didn't know.
d) how Alfie shouldn't have been playing anyway (???)

We love other fans coming to our board for peaceful, fun discussion. But realize that the heart and soul of our team is out of the game, and his career may be over, and we're all a little emotional about that.

It also doesn't help that if we venture over to your boards, we read things about how "Hagelin got his money's worth" because Alfie's sitting again. Or how bad the Sens team is, or how people are trolling to get a rise out of us.

Yes, it's only one or two people, but that doesn't matter. Doesn't make for a very friendly environment, here or there.

Don't "come in peace" here if you're just going to run back to your GDT and brag about what idiots we are.

And yet, there's one franchise player knocked out of the series, and it was due to angel boy Carl Hagelin.

You may dislike Neil but it's not like he put Callahan on the shelf.

Do you really want us to like Carl Hagelin for committing a suspendable act and knocking the most important player in our franchise's existence out?

I understand what happened, but it doesn't mean I have to like it.

our whole city has been cheering for this guy for almost 20 years now, specifically to get to this point - a chance to win games in the playoffs. i get that you don't know what that is like.

This might be his last playoffs, and now we might have watched his last game because of a dirty elbow to the head (there is no other way to look at it) in a careless play by a rookie who apparently idolizes him.

Hagelin's explanation that he was trying to protect himself from his stick did not help the situation.

But the main problem here is the league in general, it's not just hagelin. It doesn't make it any more enjoyable watching our captain get his second concussion courtesy of your team.

and yes, neil and carkner are clean, honest players. carkner did go a little overboard, but boyle asked for it in every way. the way boyle reacted to carkner was disgraceful.

That extended elbow seemed to have shown his intent quite clearly IMO.

We don't care how much you guys think Hagelin is a little angel who would never hurt a fly, the fact of the matter is that he extended his elbow and gave Alfredsson a concussion, and only Hagelin knows what his intentions were. Like they say, actions speak louder than words.

Why are Rangers fans still trying to hammer home how good of a guy Hagelin is?

It does. Not. Matter.

If one of our good, young kids took out Callahan, you wouldn't want us going over to your boards on a daily basis and say "But guys, it was an accident, he's a nice kid!" over and over. You wouldn't give a ****. Guaranteed.

Neil hits hard but he hits clean....Carkner just happened to try and make Boyle answer the bell and Boyle turtled, any self respecting player would have taken their lumps. Other than that one incident, Carkner is a clean hockey player as well, he just happens to drop the gloves with anyone willing.

In this scenario I guess Carkner is the same as Hagelin, "great guy", "first infraction", almost a rookie....See where we're going with this?

Yeah, that was the first time I've seen Carkner do something like that. He's not really a dirty player, he's ****ing stupid, but he's not dirty.

Now imagine if we went to the Rangers board and told them this every day.

I'm pretty sure they'd be irritated with it.

Let's face it. This is really all MacLean's fault for having Alfie out there against Hagelin. You usually match goon against goon right?
