The Calgary Flames are proud to announce this trade. We are glad to bring in the youth we acquired in Reimer, MacArthur and Franson.

We thank the Toronto Maple Leafs for their professionalism in this deal. Wish Mike and Miika all the best in Toronto.

I accept. While I was looking for a youth movement, this is pretty cheap for a star goalie AND a 30 goal scorer.

Do I have to say that I place Savard on long term injury?

Saturday works best for me.

Friday i'll be traveling. I have a 4 hour layover in Toronto that I can be active, but obviously won't be able to make selections from the plane.

Dong; you should make chemistry a requirement for the matchups. The teams that have changed too much should have unstable chemistry with their teams which will affect performance. People are trading just to trade.
I'm trying to base my moves while taking into consideration the "chemistry" thing. My roster doesn't look as bastardized from what it started as, compared to a lot of other teams.

I'm not against this idea. I have only made 2 trades any way.

Question: Do we sign our RFAs and send them down after the draft? How does this work? I don't want the youngsters I plan on re-signing to be counting against my NHL roster cap.

We have a trade to announce. The have traded the 2nd overall selection at this years entry draft to the for the 3rd overall selection and Michael Bournival . We wish to welcome Michael to our organization and this he will fit very nicely into our lineup in the coming years. We feel Bournival has upside similar to the Canadiens Tomas Plekenec and are very excited for the future.

The have traded former Calder winner Steve Mason along with blue chip prospect Boone Jenner to for talented wing prospect Charlie Coyle.

The depth at the center position combined with our belief that Charlie is ready to contribute at the NHL level allowed us to make this deal.

In other news, TSN's Bob Mackenzie is reporting that the blue jackets have come to terms in acquiring a #1 goalie pending league approval. Citing an anonymous source, Mackenzie went on to declare that the Blue Jackets satisfied with their current roster And will remain quiet until the draft.

Ducks

Ducks have made a rapid fire of trades.
First they make a BLOCKBUSTER as they trade RYAN GETZLAF and Toni Lydman for Alexander Edler, David Booth, Schroeder, and Chris Tanev.
Second they send Jonas Hiller packing to Columbus for Derek Brassard and the 31st overall.
As per TSN, they have made another trade with the Flames pending further talk with the Flames.

We are very happy with the addition of Edler and Tanev to shore up our Defense. Booth helps create a dangerous second line, as well as Brassard helps solidify that 2nd line center spot. Saku Koivu might take the top center job, however we are still discussing possible trade options to obtain one. the 31st overall and Schroeder can help us add to our prospect pool. We are sad to see the departure of 3 of our best players, however a re-tool needed to be made and it was. We wish Ryan Getzlaf and Toni Lydman luck next year as the Canucks look to compete again for the following spring. We also wish Jonas Hller the best of luck in Colombus.

The Minnesota Wild are thrilled to bring in gritty, hard working prosepcet Boone Jenner, as well as young Goaltender Steve Mason. We believe that Steve Mason will do excellent in a new environment, and we wish Charlie Coyle the best of luck in Columbus.
