Is there a certain time of day that they usually talk just hockey on 9.85 or do I have to sort through all the garbage (baseball, basketball, football) to hear the good stuff?

You're not going to get hockey in the offseason unless something big happens.

They might humor Goucher and talk a little puck, yesterday it was the 1:00 hour, but I would be surprised if they did it again

Ouch. I tried WEEI and they were awful. I listened to Dale and Holley "back in the day" but not regularly. I get the veiled shot, though.

I'd do it in a heart beat.

And besides, what he actually said was that Anaheim will probably want that, but mentioned that Caron, Krejci, and a 1st.

I think I listen to ZLX in the morning more than I do T&R and Hillman combined now.

Maybe Spooner/Knight or a 1st but not both. At this point though, i would like to see what both of those players look like in a Bs uniform.

Bolstered in part by a Celtics team that captured fans' imaginations with a deep playoff run, resurgent WEEI (93.7) finished second in the quarterly Arbitron ratings during the spring among men 25-54, while 98.5 The Sports Hub was fourth.

WEEI, which had finished fourth in the winter ratings, two spots behind The Sports Hub, earned a 7.1 share in the most recent quarter, which covers the period from March 29-June 20. The Sports Hub had a 6.0 share.

WEEI saw significant benefits of being the flagship station for both Celtics and Red Sox broadcasts. The Celtics made a compelling run to Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals, while the Red Sox began the season with their usual interest and intrigue despite last September's collapse. The result was an enormous nighttime (7 p.m.-midnight) listenership in the spring for WEEI, which finished first in the time-slot with a 9.5 share. The Sports Hub was fifth (5.5).

WEEI's afternoon drive program, The Big Show with Glenn Ordway and Michael Holley, also saw a significant ratings surge in the spring, moving from third in the winter to second in the spring with a 7.9 share. It surpassed The Sports Hub's Felger and Massarotti program (third, 6.2), which had been first in the winter with a 9.8 share. It wouldn't be a stretch to suggest polarizing 98.5 host Michael Felger's frequent anti-Celtics approach had an effect on the ratings.

In morning drive, The Sports Hub's Toucher and Rich program finished second for the second straight quarter, earning an 8.0 share. WEEI's Dennis and Callahan program was third (7.3).

In midday, The Sports Hub's Gresh and Zo was second (6.8), edging WEEI's Mut and Merloni (as well as an occasional Red Sox day game), which had a 6.7.

In the 6-7 p.m. window, WEEI had a 7.3 share, good for second place, while The Sports Hub, usually featuring The Baseball Reporters hosted by Tony Massarotti, was third (7.2).

Classic rock station WZLX was first overall among men 25-54, and No. 1 during mornings, afternoons, and midday.

Is he a right winger....I like T&R but they talk a lot about themselves. Listen and its all them....I do love Rich's movie reviews- outstanding. Rich seems like the best guy in all of radio to hang out with; Fred reminds me of an old person always talking about his ailments although he can be humerous.

I also like it when they are attacked and they tell us, err, Fred does how he doesn't care 50 times most thinned skin guy around....they should put Kelly Malone on and dump Wallach.

as for Gresh and Zo- freaking horrible....and Mutnansky after the hockey sucks talk before he took the gig I have no use for.

mid day is there for the taking but other than Merloni, who if he just turned the angst 'your a ****ing moron to some of these ass clown callers a bit more' would be great.

Dennis and Callahan and I am not even close to their political view is still so far better interviewing, intelligence, and overall knowledge than any show on the radio- however, the start talking Sadusky or Obama or any of that **** I'm clicking a few spots left to 92.5 or to T&R to see how Fred's diahriah is

Chiarelli should just drop his draws and ask Anahiem to shove a bat up his ass. What a freaking horrible deal...did Murph really say that

Murphy passes along everything he hears, with no consideration of team needs, salary caps, you name it. He has no filter.

He - and guys like him - is absolutely the target of this guy:

Quote:
in their desperation, people will believe absolutely anything—they must be the first to know. All they need to do is read a Tweet that someone “in the know” is “hearing something” but being vague about it. That gets the wood burning, and from there, the world is their oyster and their opinion will quickly become fact, spread to other Tweeters, writers, message board users, etc, change a little bit, before becoming fact again. It happens every single off-season, and will no doubt continue as there is no end to stupid people.
