Last smoke I had was before last game. I got clued to the monitor because of the excitement and couldn't move during the whole game. After the game I was too tired to go and in the morning I thought what the hell, I'll go on strike.

I feel terrible, but I think I'll forget it as soon as the game starts.

Get the lead early and then go "Jersey" on their ass!

LET'S GO PANTHERS!!

The 7th man in the stands won't affect players but may affect the refs.

I can understand why he'd mouth off a little, he's periodically outplayed Marty for a couple of years now.

I know this may sound sacrilegious to some, but if clemmer continues his Anderson-like play, maybe he and Jakob should be the duo next year instead of theo.

We built Anderson into a good goalie through offering him the opportunity. Same seems to be happening to clemmer, who's entering his best years.

I find that difficult to believe considering that he's turning 35 in July.

I wouldn't mind having him back next year though if the organization feels it's better to have Markstrom develop some more in the AHL, for some reason.

Problem is that he'd need to be re-signed. Theo is already signed through next year.

I hope we can pull it out tonight because I don't want to go to 7games. I feel if we win tonight it will go 6games. I'd feel alot better then having to win a game 7.

maybe he considers clemmer to be the next tim thomas.

I could live with that!

Not that...just that he seems to have matured this season, and other than SO's has been solid.

I thought he was 33 though not 35. That's a bit worse than I thought, but of course goalies often play their best hockey in their 30's.

Forgot theo had a 2-year, that puts a damper on it, but not insurmountable

I think he meant Santorelli's, that Italian place where the players go after the game?

That's exactly what you want him to believe.

A goalie is like a golfer if thy don't have that level of confidence they're sunk.

He didn't say he's better.

He didn't say his careers better...he's aware he's a career backup.

He simply said on a given night it's possible. I'd you don't believe that. Don't lace up.

I like it.

5 good games, one against terrible Montreal, and one in relief, and you just want to toss Theodore aside? If Clemm takes us on a run, then maybe that's a possibility. Just sad to see most fans have turned.

It's really quite a story. From what I hear, Clemmenson doesn't really get along with anybody.

The Panthers will lead a playoff series 2-1.
Fans will be clamoring for Scott Clemmensen to start.
Starting him would be considered by some an advantage over Martin Brodeur.

Agree that a goalie needs to be confident, but i'd rather him show me than tell me. no need to give marty more reason to bring his A game, because marty's A game (despite how old he is) is still tops in the league.

It's the playoffs. I doubt Marty needs incentives to be on his A game.

The thing is Marty's A game isn't what it once was because he's not an elite goaltender anymore.

That doesn't really seem to be the case based on comments from former teammates, current teammates and his current coach.

It's not.

Btw now the hole quote is available, very harmless

ďMartyís resume speaks for himself. I canít compete with that,íí Clemmensen said of the NHLís all-time winningest netminder. ďBut on any given night I feel I can beat Marty. I can beat anyone on any given night. I donít care what night it is. You look at like that. If Iím playing against him tonight I feel I can beat him tonight. Thatís all I care about. Obvious our careers arenít going to match up but Iím not worried about that.íí

Clemmensen, a free agent after the playoffs, is 64-45-20 in the regular season and just 1-0 in the postseason, but was 14-6-6 this season. Thedore is 20-29 in the postseason, but has lost five of his last six playoff games while allowing 20 goals.
