Standing Room Only "Seats" for 2012 Playoffs

All-

I ended up getting SRO seats for Friday's Game #5 (4/20). Can anybody give me an idea if these are a first come first served kind of thing and do the ushers "police" this area to ward off people who don't have tickets in this area? They were $60 a piece so I hope we have somewhat a reserved area and not have to constantly fight off people for our "seats".

Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think it is in the area of the 300 all you can eat goal zone area. I don't think it would be reserved and you really won't have to fight people for a standing area.

Hell I always see people standing there during games just because it's comfortable I guess. Good luck.

It's a cut out wall in the 300s. I don't know if ushers keep an eye on it, but your biggest issue is likely going to be people who go to the restroom or concession stand during a period and can't go sit down because the puck is in play. As soon as the play is dead those people will leave

Folks that already have permanent seats will stand there during the game, and the ushers do not police that much. Yet if you are making noise when the scoreboard tells you to and someone around you complains they will not hesitate to shush you.

how did you get SROs? I was under the impression that the lottery tickets that they were selling on gameday at the box office were but when we got them both times they were seats in the 300s.

I think it's above the 300 level behind the shoot twice goal. Me and my friends go sometimes because it's like being at a bar with a Preds game in front of you. I didn't know these were "last resort" tickets.

Back last summer when they showed the plans for that area, it was mentioned that this was designed to add space for about 100 more people. There's a nice little balcony where you can put your food down and watch the game.

Yes but that area was full all season long even though I don't think they sold those "seats" then. I think people just enjoy standing up there and conversating. I'd get there early and wouldn't move.

Thanks all for the responses...I think I am going to get there early make friends with the usher, and make sure we have a good spot that non-ticket holders cannot infiltrate...for $60 per ticket, I want a good view of the game!

i'm sure if you ask around, you'll find some fans in the standing area who have tickets for seats that they aren't using. Might be able to grab their seats from them!
