Thats why i said a 5th for Smoskowitz no way would he fetch a 3rd, i agree 100%!

But like you said he did score 20, he has potential but lacks ice time and trust from Hawerchuk. Being in Dale's doghouse doesn't help the progress of any player, and im not saying he is a top 2 line player but on a 3rd line with a little more ice time he is easily worth a 5th rd pick.

In regards to Beyers (i personally am not the biggest fan) that being said the kid has hands and can distribute the puck very well. I just dont like that Dale continues to use him on the PP at the point, and Barrie has a surplus of OA's if he goes then Buonomo can step in and boy oh boy do we need his presence on the D.

Sutch will fetch a 3rd.

But a similar player was just waived through the league with no claims made? I don't see why a team would give up a 5th when they have players who can play a more physical role in the bottom 6 as 95's. Trust me on this, he has very little value, he has been talked about in trades.

Again, if a 3rd was offered, the Colts would have accepted it and closed the door on his career. Thats what they want, so that they compensate for the 3rd that eventually be sent to the Steelheads once he plays a game.

No one has offered anything close to that.

Colts 4 Missy 1

I can't believe that DH didn't dress Buonomo when Beyers was a scratch! Obviously he's right out of their plans - too bad!! Otherwise a good effort from the boys. Still messing around with the lines - Markkula started on RW with Scheif/Camara. On D, I thoiught Yuill and Laser were much better. Eck is getting all the QB work on the PP in Beyers absence. The Burglar was just that, flashing his glove repeatedly to rob a Missy shooter. D is nowhere near physical enough, and frequently had a forward alone at the back door! Up next, some team called the Steelheads (3rd time already) then the Petes at home.

We all know the easy answer for that is CB20! EK5 must be getting strong enough to take care of that too, no? End of this season expect him to be dominant at both ends!

Right...and you still think you're the authority on everything from peewee to the NHL...some things never change.

Na, not much of an expert with the NHL, or PeeWee. Im pretty good at the OHL Draft thou, seeing as the identification and assessment of prospects is now a full time gig.

Feel free to DM me if you would like to continue, I doubt that fans care about any of this.

Sorry to see him go. At least he is going home to a team that needs his style. I thought he really progressed from his first year and hopefully he gots a shot with a pro team somewhere too. Every team needs those character guys that are underappreciated by all but their teammates.
What did they get back for him?

I believe we are getting a 2015 5th rounder back for Sutch.

Mississauga gets a third-round pick for Sutch playing his overage year.
Barrie gets a third-round pick for Strome playing this season.

I don't believe the 3rd rounder was a conditional pick, and that is for 2014.

I agree. Barrie was involved in a bad trade that's their problem, I feel he should've been traded a long time ago.

no offence to Gregg, but if he wanted to be treated fairly he should have come to camp like everyone else. I know it isn't fun, but it's part of being a man.
