Appears he got some bad advice, seems to happen fairly regularly in sports....I agre with you by the way.

Cash is back!

Cash Seraphim is now at Colt's practice working on both forward and defence. Don't know if he has been signed yet or not. Happy days, eh Racer

He looked good in practice when I was buying tickets today.

Can we stop with the whining over Sutch. Good for the kid that he can wrap up his junior career, but let's not go overboard here. The Colts are well within their rights to try and get something decent in return. He missed two weekends and that was it. This isn't the first time a team has carried extra OAs into the season. So, teams should just give players away if teams are low balling them at first? Why didn't he show up for camp? Buonomo did, which tells you the difference in character between the two. Look at the class Buonomo showed. Sutch is a good kid and perhaps he did get bad advice.

Or maybe he just saw the writing on the wall.
Buonomo had a good shot of sticking and if it wasn't for O'Connor playing so well he would have. Sutch was always going to be behind Beyers on forward and the other OA spot besides the goalie needed to be a defenceman.
I am glad they both found a place to play and wish them all the best.

Smoskowitz has been traded to Missy for a 8th round pick in 2014.

Russian Import Nikolai Prokhorkin (Kings 4th Round Selection & Signed Prospect) has been traded from the London Knights to the Barrie Colts in exchange for a 15th Rnd. as well as Conditional 4th and 2nd *Contingent on him suiting up with Colts* He is currently trying out for the Manchester Monarchs (AHL) and doesn't look like he is in their plans to be cut.

Certainly not surprised at this release. Wasn't Samu supposed to have impressed with the inland U-18 last winter?

There was some head-butting between him and management from a few sources.

To bad about Markuula and I find it funny that Missisauga gave Smoskowitz some playing time and he got a goal and a assist last night.

Any insight on Boyd? Does he stick with this team where will he be utilized?

And if the Colts pick up Porkhorkin, what do you think the top 2 lines will look
like?

He will get a lot more points than most of the Colts will get this year and is responsible at both ends of the ice. Just look at all the players that were kept ahead of him. Either the boss really didn't like him or maybe he has another agenda?

Smosk. Markuula is an unknown quantity. We saw Smosk could score.

He will get the opportunity in Mississauga, they have good working forwards but not many scorers. This is a score by committee team. I attended the game last night, Smoskowitz was playing on the first line and first PP in his first game, definitely was one of their better forwards last night.

A vote of confidence is probably what the doctor ordered for the kid.

It never hurts a player for a coach to show some confidence in him.

That was obviously not the case in Coltland, even after a stellar rookie year the kid was put on the 4th line to start 2011-12. Make no mistake, I am not suggesting that Smosk is a star, however he is a solid player that fell out of favour very quickly and I have watched many Colts games and seen him being replaced by other kids who have not done much while given a lot more oppurtunity. This team does not have much offence after you get by the obvious few.

That's great for Smoskowitz. Wish him well all games except against the Colts.
So often it just depends on getting an opportunity and the right situation. His first year with Barrie he got that for the second half of the year and then his role changed that chemistry thing never happened.
Too bad about Markula though. I thought he showed real promise considering he needed to get used to the OHL game.

I couldn't find a free one but I did find a cheap one.: hockeystreams.com

It says $7.50 for one day, $13 for a week, $64 for 6 months, and $100 for an year. That I'm pretty sure is cheaper than NHL Game Centre (they also have NHL game centre) plus they have some archived games and they do European games too I think. The quality from the preview looks good and the reviews are solid.

I'd recommend buying a one day or one wee pass and try to message the admins that you're doing it for CHL. If they don't have CHL games then just try to get a refund for the $8-12 but if they do then it's a pretty damn sweet deal for $99 especially if NHL comes back.
