The Admirals picked up two huge points tonight in come from behind fashion against Charlotte. They now head out on the road for the last two games of the regular season, tomorrow against Chicago and Sunday against Peoria.

The Admirals currently hold the 8th spot with 85 points. Rockford and Chicago also have 85 points but Rockford has played one more game and Milwaukee has more ROW than Chicago (36 vs 31) which gives them the tiebreaker for now.

The big thing for the Admirals to clinch the playoffs is not to tie with Rockford because they would lose pretty much every tiebreaker. The one instance in which they wouldn't is if they win a shootout tomorrow and Milwaukee gets a regulation or OT win, that would give them the ROW tiebreaker (37 vs 36) but Rockford would win the points in season series and goal differential tiebreakers.

Now if there's a three way tie Milwaukee could win that one assuming Rockford doesn't gain their points by a ROW win or Milwaukee doesn't gain their points by a shootout win or two OT/SO losses.

The first tiebreaker among three teams is the ROW wins. Chicago can't win this as they only have 31 compared to Rockford and Milwaukee having 36 with 2 games left for Chicago and Milwaukee and 1 game left for Rockford. After that the tiebreaker is points percentage in a combined season series and if I did the math right Milwaukee wins this one no matter what happens with Chicago tomorrow.

Milwaukee is 14-8-1 vs Chicago and Rockford
Rockford is 13-9-2 vs Chicago and Milwaukee
Chicago is 8-13-2 vs Milwaukee and Rockford

Even if the Admirals lose in regulation tomorrow to Chicago they still have a chance for a playoff spot. Milwaukee and Chicago would be tied, if Rockford wins in regulation or OT Milwaukee would have to beat Peoria on Sunday in regulation or OT and Chicago would have to win on Sunday (against Grand Rapids I believe) to match the Admirals and IceHogs in points. If that happens Milwaukee would win the 3 way tiebreaker. If that doesn't happen and it's a tiebreaker between Milwaukee and Rockford, Rockford would make the playoffs.

Milwaukee can also clinch a playoff berth tomorrow with a regulation or OT win at Chicago and a Rockford loss of any kind or a Rockford shootout win against Texas (as long as Milwaukee wins in regulation or OT).

Seems simple enough.

Milwaukee wins out and they are in the playoffs with 89 points.

They can get some help from Texas, the #1 team in the Western Conference, who hosts Rockford, the most penalized team in the Western Conference.

Beating Chicago for the 10th time this season would also help Milwaukee. Chicago would be eliminated for sure. Rockford would have to wait and see if Milwaukee gets one more point in their last game. Chicago and Rockford max out at 87 points.

They don't even need to win out. Just get 3 points in their last 2 games and they're in no matter what Chicago or Rockford do.

Well, thanks a lot Texas. Can't even hold a 3 goal lead against Rockford and lose 5-3. Admirals win 2-0 and eliminate Chicago from the playoffs.

The Admirals clinch tomorrow with a point. If the Admirals lose in regulation they will lose the tiebreaker to Rockford and miss the playoffs.

Milwaukee won 2-0 over Chicago. Chicago is out after losing to the Ads for the 10th time this season. Hellberg's 5th shut out. The Ads are tied for 8th place and have 1 game to play. Recent record is 14-4-1!

they did, bang and henderson went back.

the fact that Beck didn't likely makes a big statement about his role on the team, long term.

Welcome to the NHL, Taylor Beck.

Bang came back when Henderson was called up for Friday at Chicago. Henderson came back for the Admirals Saturday's game at Chicago. Ellis came back last week. Rask was sent here and scored a goal on Friday. Budish came here too. Nashville has no extra players due to injuries. I have no complaints about what they are doing.

Come playoff time, Beck, Mueller and company will be back, plus maybe some Nashville guys on 2 ways. The Ads need one point today against Peoria to qualify. The same thing happened last season against Charlotte. I am not worried.

Ok so the Ads are playing their last game is 5PM CST 4/21/13. Get a point, make the playoffs, get a win there is a chance to leapfrog to 6th.

If you got an iPhone there is an ap to the radio station 1250 WSSP.

Peoria is OUT of the playoffs and might play spoiler.

Hey something in the Preds system in the playoffs?

ECHL wise.

Cincy plays Gwinnett tonight in Georgia. Eastern Conference semifinals.

5:05 CDT,

There is an iPhone ap for the Cys.

Preds players in Cincy:

Charles Olivier-Roussel: 1G, 4A in 7 playoff games.

Taylor Aronson: No points in 2 playoff games.

Such a conflict,

Ads at 6PM
Cincy at 6PM
CAR v TB at 6Pm which could put NSH in 3rd.

Ads up 3-0 after 2 in Rockford. So don't blow it like Texas did yesterday against Rockford and you're in.

And it's official! Back to back shutouts for Hellberg, Ads clinch a playoff spot for the 11th straight year and open in Milwaukee on Friday and Saturday.

The Ads were 0-2 against Texas, a 3-1 loss in Cedar Park and a 2-1 loss in OT in Milwaukee.

Some more on Hellberg. Since basically taking over the starting goalie job the Admirals are 12-4-1 and Hellberg has a 93.7% save percentage.

Just a small update from Cze for you guys.. Preds 6th round pick from 2012 Marek Mazanec won a Czech league title. His stats from the PO were:

GP:20 W:12 L:8 GAA:2,13 SO:2 Save Per:93,2%

He had a few weak games but otherwise he was pretty solid for a 21 years old in my opinion.

In all honesty I don't know. I just know that he was drafted by Nashville last year and I assumed that you'd like to hear the news

Sounds like it's a good possibility Forsberg will join the Ads for the playoffs.
