Lol at 3rd overall being a steal.. Wasn't Galchenyuk ranked 5th-7th overall on a lot of lists heading into the draft but the Habs took a risk on him at 3? It sure paid off. If the draft was re-done, my top 5 would be:

Yakupov
Galchenyuk
Rielly
Grigorenko
Murray

I think the more appropriate question to ask is why isn't Rielly #1?

I personally am curious how Reilly would be rated if he was picked say by Anaheim at #6

Murray's entire season of development lost while Rielly is dominating. Even when they were both healthy, Rielly was outperforming Murray IMO

I would of taken Alex G at one. The guy is insane, he is a total stud. He will be a superstar in this league. Glad the Habs got him instead of the Leafs. ^_^

I'd say hindsight top 10 from the draft would be

1a. Yakupov
1b. Galchenyuk
3. Murray
4. Rielly
5. Grigorenko
6. Lindholm
7. Reinhart
8. Teravainen
9 Trouba
10. Forsberg

I had Rielly at 4 to the Isles before the draft. Still think they made a mistake taking Reinhart over Rielly. Rielly would look unreal with JT and El Nino on the PP in a year or 2.

He scored 1 nice goal in Wjrs. Let's not all drop to our knees and imitate seals right now.

I'm stoked to have Galchenyuk.

As for Gally being a centre in the NHL. I don't know, but Bergevin seems convinced that he will be.

Whats the difference to a Sabres fan of him being on the habs vs the leafs? just curious.

When Galchenyuk was available at 3, I thought Montreal would have picked someone else. Glad they picked Galchenyuk.

Seriously, I would have not hesitate to pick Galchenyuk 1st overall. At least 2nd overall was obvious, but CBJ had to pick Ryan Murray.

Galchenyuk also missed an entire season of development and it doesn't seem to have affected him so why would it affect Murray? Also Rielly missed quite some time last year
