He's a flight risk and can't speak French...oh and he just came off a serious injury, things are not looking good...most likely a bust.

Oh no doubt and I'm sure that played a part in his comments. He also doesn't even have a Russian passport anymore so the chances of Galchenyuk ever bolting to Russia are zero. Prospects with connections to Russia but want to play in the NHL are scared of the possible Russia/KHL connections though as you alluded to. Nail Yakupov's comments are a similar scenario.

As ridiculous as reading through 40+ pages is and not getting my answer, I'd like to ask again, how is Galchenyuk in the face off circle?

At the OHL level he was pretty average. I'd say he hovered around the .500 mark (likely just under it). He didn't take too many faceoffs in Sarnia this season in his limited time (especially after injuring his shoulder in his second game back).

Go to 3:18

Watch the rush.

Then watch it again and notice the superhuman rebound attempt.

Thank you, I felt like I was going crazy, so he's average in the faceoff circle, hopefully he can improve in that department

It's pretty obvious from the front view of this shot.

No posts since the season started. Can any Sting fans comment on how he's looked so far? Still consistently dangerous as "the man" on the team, with Yakupov gone?

If you go on the Habs board you will find out he's a bust.

The talent is there. The production has not. He's looked better recently but it's frustrating watching him sometimes when he over handles the puck. He'll stick handle into a corner at times or try to go through a few players and they'll just strip him off the puck.

What I love so far is how strong he looks. He is also very strong on the puck and at times it takes an extra opposing player to come in and help strip him of it. He's also looked pretty good defensively.

Gally has looked good but I would love to see him score more and start producing.

His production might've taken a hit without an elite player like Yakupov on his line.

He can also play LW as I understand...

I wish the OHL would keep the FO stats.

They do they're just not published in the site. Just like TOI isn't. Though the later is probably for the best, people would always be posting about certain players getting 40+ minutes a night and thinking it's uncommon.

There's a bit of rust after missing so much time.

The good news is he had a goal and an assist, tonight.

Its PPG. And a sample of 5 games. Nothing to see here.

EDIT: And the Sarnia Sting are really bad from the two games I've seen. Terrible defence and goaltending...I hope they trade Galchenyuk ASAP.
