It really isn't a playoff game if we don't lose a guy for the game in the first 5 minutes.

Meh, not like Biz was gonna play more than 6 minutes anyway. If that even.

Only gonna be an issue if the Yotes lose someone else.

Great save by Smith on Toews too. He's excellent at making shooters think they have an opening and taking it away. Did it all game 1&2 with the glove. And Hawks fans keep posting "THEY FIGURED OUT SMITH" haha.

Honestly we may be better off with Biz not playing.

It's when there is people in front of the net screening the goalie with someone taking a shot from the top of the faceoff circles. No other team does that ever.

Was looking for that pass from Aucoin. Great opportunity though.

Looked like the stick on the ice maybe confused him a bit and so he just took the shot?

Coyotes really need to get the puck deep more often early. These near turnovers on the blue line are giving me a heart attack.

As expected, Pyatt and Boedker still rocking their playoff beast modes. By far our best players so far.

Yeah, most likely. But damn the shot was a clear look, and that pass to the other side of the ice would have been undefended.

Bad start to the game as usual but this time we didn't let up a goal. Better the last few minutes. Let's score first this time.

They're already in survival mode. It may be that they're waiting for some of Chicago's energy to dissipate before they try to press an advantage, but it's over halfway through the period and you can count their shots on goal on one hand.

OMG LAST 2 MINUTES OF THE PERIOD AND THE YOTES DIDN'T GIVE UP 5 PRIME SCORING CHANCES.

Unpossible.

The post was so loud I was sort of hoping maybe it was the metal bar inside the goal and they just missed it.

Well, Chicago was the better team in the first period, but not on the scoreboard. We just have to hang in there, hope to snipe one or two, and hope Smith can continue to be great. Steal one and get the heck out of Chicago.

This is an awful, ugly roster. There's basically half a line of offense. And those players aren't even hot.

Shots after 1
Hawks 11
Coyotes 5

Amazing that Chicago's best offensive pressure in that 1st period of this game also brought out the best of the Coyotes Defense in the 1st period.

Not a lot of whistles.

Tippett needs to get us fired up before the 2nd.
