And Bergeron is physical? He had 6 more hits than Plekanec.

Next shift, Seguin goes hard to the net, a small and acceptable interference is caused on a defending player that falls, giving Seidenberg all the space to wind up. Great shot, beats Holtby.
Next shift, poor coverage from Erskine in front of the net, Marchand beats him to a rebound.
2-2.

Commentators: ''Give credit to Thornton!''....

No wonder plenty of fans think goons have such a factor on the game. When commentators spread that crap, makes sense that the fans repeat it.

I'd bet anything those goals would go in had he not done anything. Thornton did not make Erskine come back on defense slowly and act sloppy. Only an idiot would believe that.

Wow Holtby got across fast on that great save compared to flopping Thomas that can barely stand on his skates.

Holtby saved a sure goal there. I wonder if he will play like Halak and carry the Caps to ECF?
Who would be their opponent in the next series?

Officiating in hockey is always funny to me. Little crosscheck that probably wouldn't even be called in a garage league gets called, the obvious embellishment doesn't.
Meanwhile, you have a goon that comes late after a whistle looking ONLY to start crap. Gives a few crosschecks, tries to fight with someone, even drops one gloves, nothing. Gets a love tap on the stomach from the line judge.
