Are you Worried About a Comeback?

I know I know, I'm mister overreact blah blah blah. But that was embarrassing. And now Grossmann is done. It's just one game but it still has me worried. Can we hold out? Or is it time to think about buckling down BEFORE thinking about round two?

Nope. I said it in the GDT, this is a throwout game. Learn from our mistakes, but other than that, forget about it.

I didn't expect us to easily close out game 4, and pretty much Pittsburgh to squeak bye with a win, but a 10-3 blowout? Now that's horrifying for the rest of the series. Combine that with Grossman being hurt, and now I'm pretty worried.

It's not like Bryz has shown all series that he could steal us a game.

As long as we don't take like 4 penalties in a row and give up 3 PP goals in a row that is

I don't necessarily expect a comeback, but I don't know how any Flyers fan, after what happened two years ago, can't be nervous about the possibility. But I'm still confident. I think.

Not at all.

I will not have an ounce of worry or panic in me until Game 7.

Tonight we simply didn't show up and expected the Penguins to let us win.

We expected a completely demoralized and dejected opponent. We were dead wrong and proceeded to get totally curb stomped. A team who thinks a game is gonna be handed to them with minimal effort, has a lack of discipline, and is not ready to compete + a team that is playing for their season = 7 goal win.

Tonight wasn't us. Tonight we saw a team who, much like most of us fans, had a false sense of bravado. Tonight we saw a team that bought into the headlines and developed a sudden arrogance. Tonight we saw a team that was full of their own ****.

We were not in a right frame of mind... and tonight Pittsburgh's big mistake was winning too big and partaking in a mockery of Lavy with him taking a TO when up 7 goals.

We will be ready.

Some think Fleury is back in form, I think he is not and he awfulness was just protected by an opponent who didn't challenege him and make him work (and the chances we did get he let in bad goals). Some panic because "OMG they get Neal back!", doesn't matter to me because they had Neal in games 1,2, and 3 and we won each. Some think the momentum is 100% in the Pens favor, I beg to differ and feel they made a grave mistake and won too big.

I personally think it's over Friday. If not, no big deal because we have the golden chance to eliminate them in game 6 at home. If it goes to 7, then I panic.

Play with jam, and we are on to round 2.

Yes. But i was nervous about it before the game started. I've had my heart ripped out quite a but by the Flyers.

Saying that I think tonight was a young team looking ahead. If this happens Friday, then I'll be worried.

Worried is the wrong word for me. We're still in a tremendous place. Closing out a team is incredibly hard if you show a lack of killer instinct. We need one of our vets (Briere, Jagr, Hartnell) to step up with a big game and get the kids to follow.

Not at all, all they have to do is find a way to win one of these next games. They will and it will be on to round 2.

I voted yes, but you should've included a middle ground option. I am worried, but I'm not panicking. I just think a comeback is a valid concern, but something that is unlikely to happen.

I'm worried how the 5-man unit will play against Malkin if Grossmann really is concussed.

3 chances to close out the series, though. Won't be sweating unless there's a Game 7.

Playoff sweeps are a rarity. 0-3 comebacks are even less likely.

Flyers have to win one out of their next three games. Pens have to be perfect.

I dont think it happens. People really need to relax. Way to much emotion after getting waxed like that. SJ lost 7-1 a couple years ago in game 4 up 3-0 to the Wings. they closed out Detroit 2 nights later
if Grossman is out, guys are just going to have to suck it up.
I will say this, if these games are going to be called like this from here on out Rinaldo needs to sit. JVR needs to go in if ready.
