who knew wed be hoping handzus dresses? i like moore, he seems like he could be a dynamic player, but we are in familiar territory where our third line is just getting outmuscled/outworked. now we have a plan b.

im expecting more out of the pseudo 4th line than the third line though.

Whoa, I love the 8 bit GDT. Spectacular work!
Sharks better win this game. My friends are starting to annoy me with their Blues taunts.

I like the line changes. Obviously the biggest difference is lack of speed but it's not like the line of zero IQ Galiardi-Moore-Mitchell did much. They did have scoring chances in Game 1 but like others said, they couldn't even finish an empty netter. Their defense was pretty terrible and they had bad giveaways in the ozone which resulted into dangerous odd man rushes the other way. Plus they get pushed around easily. Winchester and Handzus adds big bodies and hopefully Handzus can actually win a faceoff unlike Moore. I just hope they don't take bad penalties due to their lack of speed.

Also happy about Patty and Couture being switched. Gives Patty someone to skate with in Havlat because that's where Patty is most dangerous.

Here's hoping to a disciplined game and hopefully a win from the Sharks. I'm going to need to find a stream for the game.

Marleau to center between Havlat and Clowe, which would mean Couture-Joe-Joe?

Zeus and Winchester apparently in and Moore and TJ out.

Great deadline deals, DW.

Am I the only one not happy with these moves? Getting bigger and slower isn't going to help, especially since we don't hit anybody anyway.

Are we still playing Murray over Demers?

Winchester is going to be a good force in front of the net which is what we have missed all series long, the Blues score every goal from in front of the net, we throw pucks at the net randomly hoping they go in.

I was hoping they'd switch Demers back in for White as the lineup change (and Winchester for TJ).

Playing devil's advocate here, but these deals were made to give us options, not necessarily solutions, for a long playoff run. Depth hurt us last year when we had all of those injuries, and depth won the Cup. Theres a chance Moore is out because of an injury.

this gdt is classic. so classic that i just have to bbq tri-tip, baked potatoes, and a salad (normally this would be corn on the cob but its out of season).

hoping this gdt will get the sharks going as well. lets go boys!

SNOG

2-0 Sharks

Handzus and Winchester are bigger bodies to help disrupt Elliott's vision and to make life harder on the Blues defensemen. They make our lines slower which will hurt the breakout, but it's worth the chance at this point. Moore and Galiardi weren't doing much.

Rather kept McGinn and the 2nd we have depth that does the same crap Galiardi and Moore do, or don't do...

The wiziwig forum usually has a sopcast stream for every playoff game. It's a minute or two behind (so you shouldn't browse the GDT at the same time) but it's almost HD quality.

Hey guys, does anyone happen to have a link to the quote Perron had about Thornton really not being able to do much on that hit in 2010 before he flip flopped on it this year? I remember it coming up in another thread but I can't find it.

Yeah I think this is a great move. I think this might finally get the top 2 lines going.

+1 on the Patty/Cooch switch; very excited to see these lines tonight!

Also, very grateful i'm not a fan of PHI/PIT. I've spent most of the day reading the drama on the main boards. Seems like every hit is getting its own thread

Most people wouldn't even post here if they couldn't be outraged about something, its ridculous.
