Thats really tough because Coples and Jones have huge upside. I'd probably go Coples because he's a prototypical 4-3 DE (6-6 284) but Jones has awesome blood lines and may be this drafts Jason Pierre Paul. Mercilus is definitely 3rd to those 2.

Pretty sure Upshaw is a rush linebacker, don't think you can be a DE at 6'1 in the NFL.

Read this somewhere else:

"I live in the Cleveland, OH area and the radio stations and insider boards here are reporting the the Browns and Bears have had and continue discussions of a swap. The reported details seem to be Bears 19, 50, Forte and next years 1st for Browns 4 and 37. Assuming any deal would be predicated based on Vikes' pick. Again, just posting what is floating around here in Browns' country."

Also twitter rumors are that Denver wants to trade up from 25. That would be a good spot for the Bears if they could pick up a 2nd or 3rd round pick to move back 6 spots.

I agree with Mercilus being 3rd of the group, the more I read about Jones the more interested I get. Maylock is saying in 3 years he'll be the best defensive player of the draft. His pedigree is awesome, and he plays angry.

So Forte, 19th and 50th for Richardson and 37th?

Yup, his lack of production in college is a bit eye raising though (10 career sacks).

That says next years 1st as well but I think that would be ridiculous. I wonder if the Bears would go with Khalil if the Vikes don't take him at 3. I don't think this is a great trade for the Bears unless then they can move back from 4 to say 7th or 8th and take Cox or Ingram and pick up another 2nd round pick.

Forte, 19, 50 for 8, 37, and 40. I'd probably do that.

I'd take Jones over Coples. Coples' production regressed once he put a hand on the ground and sounds like an excuse maker. Scouts say athletically Jones could put on another 20 pounds and turn into a monster.

Just heard Coples could slide to end of 1st round.

Right, there's that bloodline talking. Tape on him shows him playing run well and really finding the football. Peppers lite.

Wow, I didn't this next years 1st as well. Assuming a playoff appearance let's assume next years 1st is a 25.

4th and 37th

19th, 50th and 25th + Forte

If you look at draft value, that's basically valuing Forte at this actual draft position, which he has greatly outperformed. Remove next years 1st and it's something to consider.

Agreed, next years first is a non-starter. Forte, 19 and 50 for 4 and 37....I think about that.

I meant Ingram for the Jets at 16. I get those two mixed up

I'd do it for Forte, 19, 50, future 1st for 4, 37, future 2nd

Take Khalil at 4 grab a DE or DT at 37.

This trade isn't going to happen but it will be interesting to see what Emery does. Everyone thinks he's going defense, will be interesting to see if he throws us a curveball and goes after a different position.

These trade proposals are horrendous

If Bears did a trade like that Emery should be fired on spot

Pro Football Weekly's final mock draft is up. Nawrocki has had the most accurate mock 3 of the past 5 years. He has the Bears getting Mercilus

Yeah I am not interested in trading a future 1st for anything.

I'd rather trade our 2nd and like a 4th for a future 1st. Pats style.

Ordinarily, I could not possibly care less what mock drafts had to say, but as an Illini and Bears fan, I would be quite stoked if we ended up getting Mercilus.

Sure wish the Bears were picking at 13 and not 19 like they would have if they started Enderle and lost that Vikings game.

You hit the nail on the head with pick 13 being so key. You could probably have one of Jones, Reiff, Brockers, Gilmore, Barron even Floyd could slip. As it stands, if none of the above are available at 19 I say trade down.

Meaning say no to Coples, Mercilus, Ingram, Martin, Glenn, Poe, Kirkpatrick or Wright at 19.
