Again, just posting what is floating around here in Browns' country."
That can't be accurate.

Bears get:
- Browns 2012 1st rounder (4th overall)
- Browns 2012 2nd rounder (37th overall)

Cleveland gets:
- Matt Forte
- Bears 2012 1st rounder (19th overall)
- Bears 2012 2nd rounder (50th overall)
- Bears 2013 1st rounder

No way. That's way too much that we would be giving up. I do believe the Bears and Browns have been talking often about the Bears #19 --- mainly about trading down. But the math on this one just doesn't make sense. We give up a TON to get...what? An elite Left Tackle? That's great, but does that make the biggest impact this season?

I don't see it, but I do think there is a lot of truth that these two teams are talking.

I hope he can move Forte tonight. Dont need that distraction all summer and in to the season.

Forte + a 4th rounder for pick #22 should work for both sides.

Those top picks are very valuable. If you go by the old draft value chart, that almost matches up exactly if you value Forte as worth his draft position in 08 (mid 2nd rounder).

Like I said if I'm the Bears, the trade that makes sense with the Browns is trading 19 and 50 for 22 and 37.

I like that second trade a lot more.

In this draft 19 is supposedly near the begining of the 3rd wave of talent. There's no reason for Cleveland to do that. 19&22 will get the same quality of a player.

Unless they really like a guy there. Maybe they want Dre Kirkpatrick but think Cincinatti is going to take him at 21 or want a specific rush linebacker like McClellin who may go at 20 to Tennessee.

Trade Forte, what is this club, rebuilding?

For the record I know nothing, absolutely nada, about football and probably shouldn't be talking about not trading Forte. I just don't see the logic in that.

Good day, sir.

Forte should be traded today
#19 --> #4
#50 --> #37

trade up THAT much for a 1st and Forte? I'd do it and get a player that will help us next year for sure
Bush & Bell are good enough to get to a SB

Forte has done nothing but complain about not getting a long-term contract for Chris Johnson type money. He is extremely negative, refuses to go to training camps, and handles himself very poorly. His drama brings the team down with him. I used to be a huge Forte fan, but he needs to go. Get rid of the giant cap hit and improve morale. Win-Win.

While I agree the "cosmetics" of the deal may be good. But yet, we are stockpiling up on depth players while talking about trading our one true "star". That logic makes no sense to me personally.

While he may be viewed as a locker room cancer, if he is traded we will have no true stars on the offensive side of things and another 8-8 season will be breathing right down our necks.

We still have Cutler and now Brandon Marshall. I agree that they probably won't trade him, but he should be traded. He doesn't want to be here for a reasonable price for a RB, so he shouldn't be here.

If we trade him, we need to get another offensive weapon.

Agreed. I'm not saying he goes for nothing, but it's in our best interest, in my opinion, to get him out of the lineup somehow. Either that, or he needs to realize he's rich and he gets paid more than 99% of the world and just sign a contract for a respectable, but also reasonable amount of money. He makes enough, and signing a contract for a few years for LESS than what he's asking would put him in a better spot to win a ring or two, which should be every football player's goal.

The Jets are desperate for a running back. I'd give them Forte for #17

They have #16. Anything to keep them from getting Floyd.

I'm probably going to have to keep hammering this into people's heads. It's not going to happen.

They franchised Forte, they're willing to dedicate over $8 million in this year's cap to keep him for just one season. Trading him away would be an admission of failure on Emery's part, and in year 1 of his tenure I don't think for a second he's going to pawn off a star.

I disagree 100%. This is the situation he walked into. Applying the franchise tag was a no-brainer and pretty much a requirement. It also buys time for Emery to make decisions and do whatever he wants to do. Buying time is NOT an admission of failure, especially for a situation that wasn't his to begin with.

That being said, he isn't getting traded today because he would have to sign his tender to be traded, and he isn't signing it.

Again, I know you're referring to me CS85, or at least partly to me. I'm not saying that they will trade Forte, I'm saying they should. Those are 2 very different things. It's like saying the Blackhawks SHOULD upgrade at goalie, but probably won't.

Former Bear Merriweather arrested on suspicion of DUI. Nothing shocking there.

Final bets for the pick tonight? Don't care if it's a risky reach; I want Stephen Hill.

I think the Bears end up trading back a few spots and take Kendall Wright.

Cleveland gives up 4,5,7 round picks to move up 1 spot in the first round?

So now we now the top 3 picks are Luck, RG3, Richardson. So anticlimactic, why watch?

At least they don't take 15 minutes per pick anymore. That was brutal to watch.
