Has anyone else noticed

that the NHLPA proposal of a 10% roll back on salaries equals a reduction of the NHL schedule to 74 games.
Kind of transparent when viewed in the light that as part of a CBA the season would be shortened to 74 games as some have proposed.

how is it transparent when:

1)the idea of reducing the schedule hasn't even been brought up in talks yet

2)they are giving up GUARANTEED $$...you act like a 10% reduction in games would automatically mean the players would get 10% less, but that isn't true. if the players refused to give up the guaranteed $$ then they would make the same $$ over fewer games...

it depends on how the language is worded.

Is the 10% rollback as a result of the shortened schedule or in edition to it?
