Rossi is an internet hoor POS. Farthest thing in hockey from a real journalist.
Beginning to truly hate this MF for stirring up BS rumors like this to get attention.
I really encourage all of you NOT to quote him and link to him here; all it does is encourage his BS behavior and sidetrack otherwise intelligent debate.
One thing is obvious, we have a log jam on D. Pens have our 7 NHL one way contracts in Martin, Michalek, Letang, Engo, Nisky(RFA), Orpik, Lovejoy. Pens have Despres wanting and looking good in the NHL. He is two way eligible correct? The problem is Burtuzzo/Strait have grown. Are they two-way contract eligible?
The other option if they aren't two-way eligible is to trade one or two vets and hope the young guns are ready to be FT NHLers.

The sad thing is that he comes back 10 minutes later, after stirring up **** and says he was joking. At that point in time though the damage is already done.

I see them moving Martin and Lovejoy and then keeping 8 d-men on the NHL roster: Letang, Orpik, Niskanen, Michalek, Despres, Engelland, Strait, Bortuzzo. I also wouldn't be surprised if Despres spends another year in Wilkes-Barre. Disappointed, but not surprised.

If it's the difference between losing one of Bortuzzo or Strait, and keeping Despres, I'd just send Despres back down to WBS... I really don't want to lose those two to waivers.

I'd agree with you there. I'm especially keen to see what Bortuzzo can do in more than the handful of NHL games he played this year.

I was watching the WBS game tonight, and he was just a beast. He's the kind of guy you win playoff games with. I really don't want to lose Bortuzzo. He doesn't take **** from people either.
Hey guys, do you think Thiessen becomes the Pens' back-up next year?
Nope, there is very little chance of that happening. He's been terrible in the AHL this year and didn't look too good in his brief stint with the Pens.
Thiessen being the primary back-up next season is pretty much the worst-case scenario at this point.
