How much do you have to spend? MeiGray is having their annual summer sale and you can get a game-worn from 2002-2010 seasons for 50% off so you could get a gamer pretty cheap.

Something tells me that he wouldn't have interest in those, judging by his statement and exasperation that toonjersey is down...

Thinking about adding a Bryz jersey to my collection, not really sure yet.

On a side note, does anyone have a cool collection of player t-shirts? I picked up a Coburn yesterday and I pretty much have the whole roster minus Luke Schenn, Mez, Fedotenko, Rinaldo and Shelley (Yes I have a Michael Leighton shirt).

Some time back someone posted method to remove the excess glue from a jersey after number removal ... Can you please repost it? Someone changed a Talbot to 25 and still sees the seven. I told him I'd try to find out for him. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I found one method here: http://www.ehow.com/how_6049639_remo...ve-jersey.html

You can use goof-off on some jerseys, another method is to heat it with an iron, protected with a cotton t-shirt of some sort, then pick them out while warm. I think you can also use this method with a lighter cloth and hope that the glue sticks to it when you pull it away.

Zac Rinaldo Road Set 1

15 inch repair from a fight with gregory campbell

12 inch repair from a fight with Zenon Konopka

NHL shield is ripping off

Jersey has a bunch of little tears and rips its pretty much beat up. From what i researched so far he had about 7-8 fights in it and maybe a goal vs the islanders havent photomatched it to that game yet.

Chris Pronger home set 2 game issue

Just picked up both of these 2.0's, both Game Issued. Not sure what players i'm going to put on them but i'm leaning towards Schenn and Schenn. The idea of having a 2.0 Road Giroux that I can wear is tempting too since I can't wear my gamer. Only problem with that is I already have a Schenn WC replica. Also have two Read's (WC and Road 2.0), two Giroux's (#56 Black 2.0 and Replica Road), and Briere (White SCF 2.0).

Gotta love Meigray. Jerseys will be delivered tomorrow. Anyone know if PE is gonna be backed up with jerseys around now? Gotta get deciding on what I'm doing with them. Still thinking Schenn #22 and Schenn #10. Although I'm not 100% sure that they're not going to use B. Schenn and L. Schenn on their jerseys even if they didn't for the Bauer stuff.

My only concern with that would be Brayden's. You might want to do the stripping yourself to see if there is a lot of residue left. If so, you will be able to see far too much of the outline.

Anyone know if they're going to wear B. Schenn and L. Schenn for certain? I know they didn't at the Bauer Camp but that could be a problem.

Boo. Took the jerseys to the SkateZone and they told me it'd cost $200 per jersey to get it stripped and re-customized. Time to figure out what I can do as an alternative.

it's probably not but I also don't trust myself as i'm not very handy. Don't know how to deal with the possible glue residue.

It's mostly because they don't really feel like bothering with it.

Does the SkateZone only stitch Flyers jerseys (names and numbers), or do they do other teams and league? I have a blank ND Sioux jersey that I want to give a name to.

On an up-note... a couple of seasons back VSZ told me flat out that PE would not touch a glued jersey in alteration... This appears to be a reversal of procedure... FOR A DEAR COST.

On the other hand, I presented them with a heat-pressed Premier rather than a sewn on Authentic that had some glue used to set the customization aligned for stitching... I would assume that the amount of adhesive would be much less and more manageable. Having said that, it is still more labor intensive and more risky, potential damage-wise. My guess is that they see a chance to bring in some added revenue but are going in for the kill... You want them to do it, you have to make it well worth their while for taking all the time and care. For goodness sakes, it costs that much for a Premier with Authentic Customization... therefore, they are basically saying that work they will do to remove the numbers on the back, arms and nameplate to be worth the cost of a blank Premier... Full Authentic Customization cost maybe 40% or less of what they are asking.

Is it possible they are trying to discourage people from doing what you are doing rather than purchasing the entire product from them?... I'd guess that they are making that route about as costly as buying from them, even with a clearance discount.
