I'm sure Detroit fans would have preferred the same as well, they seem to be in a similar situation of sorts. Plus, Phoenix and Nashville could be trolling eachother to death via boredom.

That is what we see next season IMO.
If that's our team next season then it's another Blowman fail special.

I don't think people were as afraid as Detroit as they were NASHVILLE. We probably wouldn't even win a game against them.

They actually made GOOD deals at the deadline.

Since the Capitals seem to have some success with their AHL goalies, I say start Carter Hutton for Game 5. It can't be any worse. Two brutal soft OT goals from Crawford, and there's no way Emery is going to save this series. It's time to give Hutton a shot.

I agree. We have nothing to lose at this point and he gives us our best shot to win.

Did I really just say that about Carter ****ing Hutton?

Blackhawks shots+their shots blocked: 53
Coyotes shots+their shots blocked: 25

Puck possession teams are getting ****ing owned. Detroit-getting owned against bore system. San Jose-getting owned against bore system. Chicago-getting owned against bore system. Vancouver- getting owned against bore system.

Coyotes, Preds, Blues, and Kings all top 10 defensive teams in regular season and all play the boring defensive style that I guess wins now. BORING rules the NHL, or at least the West. We are an Eastern Conference team in the Western Conference.

Since Quenneville loves his vets, he'd start Hannu Toivanen (sp.) before some AHL player. See pinching SOD back in for Olsen.

Worst time compared to what? If Hutton sucks, we lose. Crawford does suck, and we're sure to lose with him. There won't be a Game 6 if nobody steps up in goal, and Crawford has blown it two in a row. Emery is not any better.

lol we are not sure to lose with crawford. besides the two ot mistakes, crawford has played extremely well

i'd be a lot more worried about the lack of toughness shown by the hawks and the complete laziness shown by the d

Sean O'Donnell, ANndy Brunette, Leddy not progressing defensively, Hawks core not bringing it. Time for Q-stache to go. He is unable to get this team ready to play.

Other teams go up a gear for the playoffs, Hawks do not.

The referees are disgraceful Quenneville? You are disgraceful.

- I feel bad for Crawford, because unless this team wins the next three he's probably played himself out of Chicago. And I think he's a legitimate starting goalie in the league and will find success elsewhere. Just two brutal goals though

- The goaltending will get blamed, but when the big three are as invisible as they were tonight its a miracle to get it to OT

- Mike Kitchen needs to be shot out of a catapult or something thereabouts. Q gets a lot of flak here but a lot of his hunches actually work. I don't even know what the PP is at this point. The TSN guy goes "and this might be the first time you see a PP just play defense" on that late Phoenix PP and everyone in the room says at the same time "guess you haven't seen Chicago enough"
I agree with all of this except 2 points:

1) I do not feel bad for Crawford. He "earned" the starting job by default, after playing mediocre AHL hockey and having no one better to put in when Emery came back to earth.

2) He is not a legitimate starter in this league. I'm very confident of that. I've seen enough to know he's just not good.

I'm going to go at this in a different direction

When your two goalscorers in a playoff game are Morrison and Frolik, you're ****ed.

So a goal by Toews is worth more then a goal by Morrison? Who cares who scores a goal is a goal, Pittsburgh won a Cup because Max Talbot, not Crosby, Malkin, Stall, or any of their big names got scored twice in game 7.

Why shouldn't he.. He gets all the credit for putting the Cup team together (deserved credit), but rarely any blame for what we now have to work with. His timing and structuring of contracts was awful and Chicago paid the price. Luckily, they won the Cup. If they hadn't, most of this board would be singing a different tune about Tallon.
