I wouldn't be opposed, but only if we can't sign Vokoun. Trade Crawford away to a team that needs a #1B/backup goalie in return for a bottom 6 grinder that can actually play. Sign Vokoun for $2.5m/1 year.
The list of talented UFA goaltenders available after next season is much lengthier.
Luongo is a solution, but I don't think it happens. Long shot is an understatement.
I would not want another head case goalie. Crawford can be a good goalie he just loses confidence so easily and then we play like crap in front of him. Same thing with Lou, just a bigger longer contract. Obviously Lou is better then Crow when they are on their games but not worth the extra money and years.
he's a very good goalie and played very well in the games he played this series. Quick was just a beast. They changed goalies to get a spark from their team not because of Luongo's play. I would like him just based on his talents, but his contract is horrible...far too long. Also it just can't be done given the past history between Luongo and the Canucks, and the Hawks.
I think Vancouver is going to keep him, unless the Hawks sign him to an offer sheet he can't refuse, which in turns hurts the Hawks cap, and will limit their options for a much needed 2nd line center, and depth.
