i am more concerned about getting a nap in this afternoon before my league game tonight...

this #LaPantiesBunched hiring is just enough in the background that i can't care as much as some of you seem to be...

i've been getting about three hours of sleep a night... i'm more concerned about falling over tonight.

You are clearly not upset enough to be posting in this thread.

MOD REQUEST: As long as we're crucifying the guy, can someone please change the thread title to "The Passion of LaPanta?"

I would have given it to Bob & Tom. Of all the people who have anything to do with the Wild these two guys make the most sense. From an internal promotion perspective that is.

It doesn't matter what two cheesedicks are in place, I usually listen to music when I watch games. Let's face it, most commentators are unbearable (homers).

Pretty much anyone really, as long as they had actual NHL playcalling experience.

And with Forslund's contract with Carolina being up later this year, it would have been a nice thought thinking the Wild might have made a play at him. I mean, were supposedly going after big fish in free agency... why not go after a big fish in NHL Broadcasting?

Cause FSNorth didn't want us to that's why. Fire FSNorth.

Lapanta's phonetically correct player names: Mikko Koivu is now Mikkoah Koya-voo and Dany Heatley is now Donny Heatalee.

This is so ridiculous I don't even know what to say. I damn well hope we see a Granlund signing article pretty soon so I can get my mind off of this whole Lapanta fiasco.

Well one bit of good news is that scouring Russo's tweets for today it sounds like he thinks all of the broadcasters got one year deals.

So if LaPanta is as bad as we think he is going to be hopefully we wont have to put up with him that long.

This is the right answer. If they're so into the promotion of the "tradition of the game", they should have been the first NHL team to go retro with a simulcast.

I wonder if we could convince the Wild to delay the radio feed and ensure it's in sync with the TV, as a gesture of good faith. Even put it on the SAP.

It's a slap in the face. Like I said last night, they weren't going to change their decision. But if the team is winning, people will watch. They may mute the game, but they'll watch.

Screw it! I'm more concerned with fixing the holes on the ice right now.

At what point in that thing does he actually respond to all the backlash? I dont want to listen to all 40 minutes.

You, folks, in the opinion of the Wild and FSN, are the squeaky wheel.
