Hopefully they can retain Wellman and JAM. That would make for a potentially lethal top-six next year.

Hrivik - Wellman - ??
Yogan - JAM - Thomas

Though I imagine there will be some vets who might push Yogan and Thomas down the lineup a bit.

Talbot should be kept. He turned himself into something during the playoffs. Johnson can take a hike.

I'm pretty sure he's technically an UFA right now, as no NHL team actually holds his rights.

Still up in the air if he can do it at that level. Newbury is great in CT and poop in NY for example

also wonder if Newbury is back, Torts does like him as as call up

Never the coaches call on who he gets.

They go to Schoney and say we need a guy, They determine the role they need and Schoney decides based on who is playing well for the Whale and who has earned the call up.

Newbury works his ass off which is why he gets the nod. He's done NOTHING at the NHL level to continue getting the nod, so why him? His work rate at the AHL level is the reason.

Yeah Newbury wouldn't be kept for any other reason than to play in the AHL.

I feel like JAM would like to sign with the Rangers, but the lack of chances given to MZA might give him reason to look elsewhere. Sad, really.

A bit OT, but I'm planning to spend a couple of months in the New England / Connecticut / Massachusets area this fall. Was hoping to see Zuke play, but too late to change the plans for the whole family to Sibiria. Does any of you have any recommendations for a nice shore side town / city place to stay, were we can rent a house? Would like a bit of yellow leafs, a bit of sea. University town would help. If you know any website were we can look for a house that would be great too. We are on a budget. Send me a PM if the this is too far off topic to tolerate. I DID mention Zuke though, a poster boy for the travel industry of Ct.

Even though I live in CT I am more familiar with the Rhode Island shore. But I think Old Saybrook is one of the more popular CT beach destinations. Maybe Niantic. New London area too. Can't help you much more than that though!!
