Now that the season is over, does anybody know if the Rangers are planning on signing Marek Hrivik?

That article is nothing but spectulation that Zucc could be a player they could be intersted in. Just like those written last year mentioning how Swedish and Russian teams were interested in signing him.

Hrvik and JAM will be signed. Miller, Thomas should be candidates for call ups next yr. Wellman,Thurresson, Kolarik should be back. I imagine they offer Newbury and Deveaux deals and if thay stay great and if not maybe they can crack the NHL elsewhere but I doubt it.

any other prospects have a chance to sign upfront? St Croix, McCologan?

The Rangers probably will not sign Miller to play in Hartford unless he shows a lot of progress over the summer and then looks great (not just good) in Traverse and preseason.

He can use another season in juniors where he will need to be a star, and not just a nice player.

I would like Hartford to bring back JAM, Hrivik, Kim Kardashian, Deveaux Newbury, Yogan, Thuresson, Wellman, Bourque, Kolarik, and whoever else is needed for depth (Campbell, Bouchard, Grant, Wilson, people now outside the organization) on AHL contracts.

That would be a very strong team.

Then for the playoffs, Hartford would be flooded with Miller, Thomas, St. Croix, McColgan, Fogarty.

This team would be a very strong Calder Cup contender.

Keep Miller and St. Croix in juniors next year. No need to rush them even if they go all nuts at Traverse City and Training Camp. We've seen it before with players like Grachev....do not rush.

If Fogarty commits to the NCAA program (Notre Dame I think) the earliest we see him in CT or Rangers is like 2015 which is fine. He's a loooong term project. Patience.

Agreed, St. Croix needs to bulk up and fine-tune his game.

Miller needs to improve his offensive, another year in Plymouth would be great.

Miller's ELC is already signed so it depends on what the Rangers want to do. Thomas will start the year in Hartford. He's not going back to juniors for an overage season. Fogarty's going the NCAA route so he definitely won't play any games for Hartford next year.

Hey, wondering if someone could post a short description of Steve Moses, since he played for a while with the Whale? He signed with Jokerit in the Finnish Sm-liiga today. Thanks!

Obviously I agree on Thomas. I just missed him when I was typing up all those names. He has to be in the AHL. An overager year will do nothing for him.

Paul Doyle of the Hartford Courant said 9 players will travel from Hartford to New York.

Do they have to be officially called up to practice with the team?

Any chance Torts puts some of those guys on the ice during practice and see if anyone looks good/better than the current roster? Seems unlikely he'd mix it up at this point, but why bring 9 guys there for emergency call-ups?

well it depends on who the guys are...they could bring up kids like miller, thomas, mcilrath with the intention of them being around the team and telling them watch veterans like richards and how he conducts himself and prepares for each game etc.

I say Casey Wellman deserves a really good look at cracking the starting lineup. He's the most talented NHL-ready guy on the squad...already played in the NHL this season in fact.

I would like to see him get a shot over Mitchell, but no way does this happen.

Same. He should get a shot over Mitchell, but no way Torts does it.

Here's the 9 players per Paul Doyle: Talbot, Erixon, Newbury, Hrivik, JAM, Wellman, Miller, Kolarik, McIlrath.

That is pure speculation. Only artickle I read about the subject,is that Zug want Zucc on their roster next year.
It`s not like they have talked to, or negotiated with him.
Zucc has said that he want to continue his carrier in NA.

But if he cant crack the opening night roster, I could see him go to europe. And The NLA pay good money.
