He won't be back, don't worry. He has skating ability but no hockey iq or hands.

Actually he'd be perfect for the ice capades.

This is how I picture Mitchell...

Fast, energetic, probably can break up a play due to pure squirrlyness factor. But also has pretty much the same effect when he has the puck... who the F knows where it's gonna go?

If only we could somehow get him to stay in those brief flashes of Mario Lemieux channeling....

I think he would have been better off developing a "rat" factor to his game. He's always going to have a spot in the NHL because he can skate and hustles and could find a niche as a bottom six utility guy but his time in SJ is up.

If only they could happen in the playoffs.

Mitchell is an enigma Jux. That's the only possible explanation. That or he's trolling us all and actually could do all of that whenever he wants but he never feels like it.

To further **** with us all he'll sign for 6 years at 4.5m and then in the final year he'll finally decide to go out and score something like 60 points in the playoffs and win the Smythe.

Actually that'd be pretty hilarious/awesome.

As long as that means the Sharks win the Cup, Taco can do whatever the **** he wants.

Speaking of which, I really hope he gets a sponsorship deal with El Pollo Loco or Taco Bell where they make him wear a sombrero. I dunno why but the idea of his awkward smile and speech with a sombrero telling people to buy Mexican food one of the most hilarious ideas ever. Something like

"Hi I'm Torrey Mitchell, also known as Taco Torrey here to tell you to buy the new chicken taco at Taco Bell"

That's completely incorrect. He'd be the greatest Taco Salesman north of Guadalajara. As for being a great hockey player....ehhhhh

I have a feeling some other GM will see his highlight-reel goals and offer him way more than he's worth and then when the season starts, the GM will realize he's useless most of the time and immediately regret the decision.

No.

We wont get anything for him. He will walk and some fringe team will take him and use him to eliminate us the next year. (IE: Brian Campbell, Christian Errorhoff, Scott Nichol. exc.)

Id rather re-sign Galiardi who is slightly bigger than Mitchell and see how he does. I think if he bulked up over the off-season, he would be amazing. His problem is that he gets pushed off the puck to easily.

Can we get the entire Sharks team to work out with Gary Roberts or Rod the bod brind'amour? Everyone seemed to have a case of "pushed off the puck" syndrome...

Seriously, have you watched a team that has had so many people fall over during a course of a game? I don't think I have.

I think Mitchell > Galiardi, but not by much. But I have a feeling DW is going to give Gali a 2-3 year deal so his deadline deal doesn't look bad.

We don't need both Mitchell and TJ. DW has to choose one. TJ has a better ceiling but Mitchell is a better player atm. Both are worthless nonetheless.

I would have kept pavelski as our 3rd line center. Then he would still belong at LW with pavelski and wingels.

For next year, I guess you let him go unless we can't find speed elsewhere. I think he has just missed too many open nets in his sharks career.

"Taco" always competes hard. He just loses the vast majority of said competitions.
