What do you think of it albeit it's Eklund.
Suter?
Parise?
Vokoun?
Not that i believe anything this tool writes, but if the case is to lure Nash by telling him they are signing UFA-X and vise-versa, i don't think Vokoun is the key. It would have to be either Parise or Suter.

I heard Leafs are very interested in a player with a spring birthday. I also get something with the letter R.

Gotta echo the "I hope we don't go after Nash" sentiment. The price was ridiculous before and it will be ridiculous in the off-season.

I would much rather overpay for a guy like Staal than get a guy like nash. We need a C desperately.

I don't believe this crap one bit. This is obviously a pure trolling and bad prediction by Eklund to garner more media attention, must be really bored with his site since it is play-offs and trade talks are shutdown at the moment.

I had bet anyone that any one of Kessel, Gardiner and the 5th overall does not get traded for a UFA or overpaid/overrated player like Nash.

I don't want Nash, especially since hearing what the BJs turned down from the Rangers for him. I thought it was crazy that the Rags even offered that much...

Good

I bought into a GroupOn for a customized Leafs jersey and haven't had anything to use it on (got a Kessel as soon as we traded for him). Expires in October.

Vokoun 80m/10years, 8m/year fixed the goalie problem

I could see Burke going after Nash. The price at the deadline is always retarded for any player but especially for a big name like Nash. Yes the leafs need a goaltender, number one center and a top d-man but I think they also need a big top 6 winger to play with grabo. A line of kulemin- grabovski- Nash would be awesome. The price to get Nash will come down a bit from what it was at the trade deadline.

HockeyBuzz taking a real gamble here saying the Leafs are going to pursue some UFA's.

If it's tampering to talk to a player under contract (and still in the playoffs) how's is this remotely possible

Let's forget his ridiculous price tag for a second..
Why would we trade for a 7.8/year player just to play him in the 2nd line?
He's just not a necessity for us in my opinion. Nash would just be a luxury on a team with 10 million other major holes to fill.

. I think players with size up front is a necessity under the new coach.

Who says they spoke to any players? They can talk internally about which players they are interested in.

I think 5th OA definitely has to be involved for Nash, as well as a prospect and salary going the other way.

5th OA, Schenn, Armstrong (dump), Kadri seems about right to me. CBus would have a ton of options picking 2nd and 5th.

Nash to Vancouver or Rangers.

Those two teams make the most sense to me.

Nash and possibly Luongo may become a leaf over the summer as much as don't want to believe it. Burke knows that if he doesn't make the playoffs this coming year he may not have a job after that. Burke is now in 'do anything to save my a**' mode.

'Stop the Press' if that happens, blimey!

Adding Nash & Weber... seems too much of a fantasy as you said but interesting to discuss.

That would leave Phaneuf in.....?
